Inaugurated by Bharat Ratna Late Sh. C. Subramanium in the year 1994, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula is a constituent institution of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The Vidyalaya endeavours to keep alive the Bhavan's faith as set forth by late Dr. K.M Munshi, of reintegrating Indian culture and holding fast to the fundamental values for which it stands. Bhavan Vidyalaya is a Senior Secondary Public School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The school is a co-educational institution with classes from L.KG - Grade XII, the medium of instruction being English. The institution strives to provide, in keeping with the aims of comprehensive quality education to develop all facets of a child's personality.
NEWS & EVENTS
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula, in association with Sultan Chand & Sons (P) Ltd., Educational Publishers, successfully organised an Accountancy Masterclass and Pedagogy Workshop for educators on August 22, 2026, in the school premises. The workshop provided educators with valuable opportunities to enhance their subject knowledge, explore innovative pedagogical approaches, strengthen classroom practices and deepen their understanding of contemporary, competency-based teaching in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP).
The workshop was conducted by an eminent Accountancy educator, CA. (Dr.) G.S. Grewal, who brought with him an extensive experience in Accountancy education and professional practice. The sessions covered a wide range of relevant themes, including Artificial Intelligence in Accountancy education, academic and real-world accounting in the light of NEP, innovative pedagogies, and so on which enriched the participants’ subject knowledge and strengthened their understanding of effective pedagogical and assessment practices. An engaging Question-Answer session further enabled participants to clarify queries, exchange ideas and reflect on effective classroom practices.
A special interactive session was also organised for Class 12 Commerce students, during which the resource person shared valuable guidance on time management, answer presentation, avoiding common errors and effective examination strategies, providing students with practical tips to enhance their confidence and examination preparedness.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised Medha Manayata Diwas for the students of Classes 6 to 8 on August 7, 2026. The event was held to honour students for their outstanding academic achievements, exemplary discipline and excellence in co-curricular activities.
During the ceremony, Anvi Soni was conferred with the Student of the Year Award. In addition, 14 students were honoured with the Most Regular Student Award. Students who had consistently secured 90% and above marks for three and six consecutive years were also felicitated with cash awards and mementoes in recognition of their sustained academic excellence.
Cash awards were also presented to the best-performing students of each class. The awards were bagged by: Manan Gupta of Class 6, Uttara Salaria of Class 7, and Anvi Soni of Class 8.Students who excelled in co-curricular activities were also recognised for their exceptional talents. Radhya Arora received the Best Vocalist Award, while Ramani Bansal was honoured with the Best Writer Award.
A major highlight of the programme was the patriotic group presentation, ‘Vande Mataram— Spirit of India’, performed by the students of Classes 7 and 8. The captivating performance left a lasting impression on the parents and distinguished guests present on the occasion.
Storytelling as a Pedagogy
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised a CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on ‘Storytelling as a Pedagogy’ on August 8, 2026.
The workshop aimed to equip educators with innovative teaching methodologies by integrating storytelling into the teaching-learning process, thereby making classroom instruction more engaging, meaningful and learner-centric.
The workshop was conducted by CBSE Resource Persons Ms. Neha Kashyap and Ms. Eesha Mor. The resource persons shared valuable insights into the power of storytelling as an effective pedagogical tool. Emphasis was laid on designing meaningful learning experiences by integrating stories into lesson planning and experiential learning practices in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The workshop also included hands-on activities, group discussions and subject-specific lesson planning exercises, enabling teachers to apply storytelling techniques effectively in their classrooms. The highly interactive session encouraged educators to exchange ideas and reflect on their teaching practices to make learning enjoyable and impactful.
State-Level Vigyan Puraskar
Rishabh Nanda, a student of Class 10, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, secured 3rd position at the State Level in the Vigyan Puraskar Examination, conducted by Rashtriya Shiksha Samiti, Tohana, Fatehabad. In recognition of his outstanding achievement, he was awarded a medal, trophy and perpetual shield.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula successfully organised its two-day Parliamentary Debate Championship (PDC), bringing together over 100 talented young debaters from schools across the Tricity and neighbouring regions.
The valedictory ceremony celebrated the outstanding performances of the participants, with winners and exceptional speakers being felicitated for their achievements. The championship provided students with a valuable platform to strengthen their critical thinking, public speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills while fostering the spirit of respectful dialogue and democratic values. The championship concluded with the presentation of awards.
Dialogue and Global Citizenship
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, in collaboration with the International Baccalaureate Organisation’s Generation Global programme, organised an interactive session on Dialogue and Global Citizenship on August 6, 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Shivanshu Arya, South Asia Partnerships Coordinator, Generation Global, who engaged students of Classes VIII, IX, and XI in discussions on global issues, intercultural dialogue and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He encouraged students to connect with peers across the world through meaningful conversations that foster empathy, respect and global understanding.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula student, Vrinda Salaria, secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 442 in the NEET UG 2026 examination. Vrinda’s remarkable success is a testament to her unwavering dedication, perseverance and academic excellence. She has already brought immense pride and glory to the school by scoring 98% in Class 12 CBSE Board Examinations and is an inspiration for aspiring medical students.
Inspiring Talk
Bhavan’s Old Students’ Association of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised an inspiring interaction session for students of Classes 9 to 12, featuring three distinguished alumni who shared their unique journeys and experiences.
The speakers included Chaitya Jain, a Psychology graduate from Christ University, Bengaluru who is currently placed with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG); Rachit Chauhan, the youngest HPCA Level-O umpire affiliated with the BCCI, and who has officiated several prestigious cricket matches; and Mansvi Bhatia, a BITS Pilani graduate, presently working with Amazon.
Drawing from their diverse professional experiences, the alumni encouraged students to pursue their passions, embrace challenges and remain committed to their goals. The session proved to be highly engaging and motivational, offering students valuable insights into the varied paths that can lead to success.
Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0
In a heartfelt tribute to nature and motherhood, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula celebrated the nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0’ initiative with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced with Principal Ms. Gulshan Kaur, along with the students, planting a sapling in the school premises, symbolising the school’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living.
As part of the initiative, the school also organised a Plant Donation Drive, encouraging students to extend the green movement beyond the campus. Inspired by the campaign, students planted approximately 250 saplings in and around their neighbourhoods and pledged to nurture and care for them, reinforcing the message that every tree planted today contributes to a healthier and greener tomorrow.
The Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula School celebrated Medha Manyata on May 16, 2026 with great splendour and enthusiasm, honouring the academic brilliance of its meritorious students of classes III -V during the academic session of 2025-26.
The occasion marked the felicitation of students by the honourable Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Managing Committee, Panchkula, Shri A. N. Mathur, Former-Chief Secretary, Haryana and esteemed members of the management committee. The students had secured more than 90% marks for three consecutive years, exemplifying unwavering dedication, perseverance, and excellence. Academic toppers from Classes III to V were conferred with cash prizes and citations in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The cultural segment of the programme added grace and grandeur to the celebration. The highlight of the event was an exquisite Bharatanatyam performance by the students of Class V. Around fifty students presented Hanuman Chalisa with remarkable poise and devotion, beautifully portraying the strength, humility, devotion and unwavering faith of Lord Hanuman. Equally enchanting was the melodious rendition of Raag Bhupali by the young students of Classes III and IV.
JEE Advanced 2026
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula celebrates outstanding success in JEE Advanced 2026 with an exceptional performance of the students. Leading the achievers is Yajat Singhal, who secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 21, placing him among the top performers in the country and he was also Haryana and tricity topper as well. Demonstrating the school’s strong academic culture and commitment to excellence, Arnav Gandhi achieved AIR 36, while Niskarsh Verma secured AIR 150. Adding to this remarkable success, Om Garg secured a prestigious AIR 236 while Rishabh Jain earned AIR 705. The outstanding achievements of these students reflect their dedication, perseverance, and hard work, supported by the guidance of their teachers and the unwavering encouragement of their parents.
