Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Valanchery Kendra established in the year 1999. We have LKG and UKG classes under Kendra. The enrolment will be generally 30 students per section. Malayalam, English, General Knowledge and Mathematics are the subjects taught in KG. Give importance to value education and co-curricular activities.

Silver Jubilee Celebrations

Bhavan’s Valanchery Kendra was established in the year 1999 with the main objective of providing quality education to children. As of today, the school has about 500 students from Std. LKG to X, 30 teaching staff and 10 non-teaching staff on its rolls.
The school is celebrating its 25th anniversary throughout this year. The celebrations started with a procession around Valanchery town with anchavadyam, Muthukkuda etc. and the students, staff, parents and managing committee members participated in the same.
The inauguration of the 25th anniversary was done by Shri. Alankode Leelakrishnan, a well-known writer of Malayalam literature. Hon. Chairman
Dr. P Madhavankutty Varier, Managing Trustee, Kottakkal Arya Vidya Sala presided over the function. Award ceremony for academic brilliance and extracurricular activities were held on the same day. Shri. Manuppa Master, President Irimbiliyam Grama Panchayat distributed trophies and prizes to the winners. Managing committee members and PTA representatives attended the function. Thereafter, students presented a cultural programme.
It has been decided to organise a medicinal plant exhibition with the support of an esteemed organisation in Malappuram district and a medical camp in collaboration with former doctor students. An alumni meet will be organised during this academic year.

BJ Special Issue Released

Sri Sridharan Pillai, Governor of Goa released the Bhavan’s Journal Independence Day Special Issue on August 11, 2024 at a function held at the Chennai Kendra Auditorium. He spoke very highly about the Bhavan and Bhavan’s Journal. He shared that he has been reading the magazine for many years and wanted it to continue in the future.

Congratulations

The Press Council of India on August 5, 2024 awarded Shri. Vishwanath Sachdev the ‘Jeevan Gaurav’ award initiated in the name of Raja Ram Mohan Roy.
Shri. Sachdev, who started his career in journalism in 1962, has had an illustrious career and has been the Editor of Bhavan’s Navneet since 2005.



Obituary

Mr. T. Balachandran Unni, former secretary of Valanchery Kendra passed away on January 28, 2023. He was the secretary of the Kendra from 2007 to 2021. His involvement in the upliftment of the institution during the past 14 years was unstinting. He was actively involved in the activities of the Kendra up to his last breath. His death is an irreparable loss to the Valanchery Kendra.
A man with a unique personality, he spoke less but was a man of action. He was able to say the right things at the right time. He was a man of great intellect vision and courage who contributed immensely for the progress of the school. He dedicated himself for a better future of the institution and touched the lives of all the members in Bhavan's Valanchery Kendra. His unexpected departure is a great loss.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
