Panchkula Kendra

BOSA (Bhavan Old Students’ Association) committee of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organised a career counselling session ‘Sketches to Success -- Crafting a career through design’ for the students of Class 11 and 12. The interactive session was conducted by Ms Prisha Shekhar and Ms Ananya Jindal, esteemed alumna of the school. Both of them are pursuing B. Des. in animation film design from National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad. They apprised the students about various entrance exams for the top institutes at the national and international level and also guided them about different career opportunities and scope of design education.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, reverberated with excitement and applause as the much-awaited Talent Hunt was organised for Class 11 students, hosted with great enthusiasm by students of Class 12. The event served as a vibrant platform for the Bhavanites to express their skills, creativity and individuality. The highlight of the day was the Talent Round, where participants enthralled the audience with soulful singing, graceful band and dance performances, engaging dramatics, instrumental music, recitation of original poetry and live mehndi application. Each act reflected the unique personality of the performer, making the competition both entertaining and inspiring.

Medha Manyata Divas

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised its annual prize distribution function, titled ‘Medha Manyata Divas’, on August 2 and August 29, 2025.
A vibrant cultural programme added charm to the celebration. It featured captivating performances that mesmerised the audience with rhythms and melodies.
Academic toppers from classes Class 3 to Class 8 were felicitated with cash prizes and citations, and students scoring 90% and above for three or more consecutive years were specially honoured. The school also celebrated achievements in co-scholastic domains, promoting holistic development. Special recognition was given through the ‘Student of the Year’ award to Nikunj Khurana, an 8th grade student, for his exemplary achievements in academics, arts and co-curricular activities. Additionally, the ‘Best in Conduct’ award was presented to Harshit Kamboj for his outstanding behaviour and discipline.
Asian Roller Hockey

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula takes immense pride in announcing the outstanding international achievement of its student, Gopesh Verma of Class 11 (Science), who has brought glory to the nation by winning the gold medal at the 20th Asian Roller Hockey Championship held in South Korea from July 25—28, 2025.
Representing Team India on this prestigious platform, Gopesh Verma stood out for his exceptional performance, agility and sportsmanship. He is among the select few young athletes from Haryana who have had the honour of donning the national jersey in roller hockey.
National Gymnastics Championship

Bhavan Vidyalaya proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Vedika Sharma, a gifted Class 9 student, who secured a bronze medal at the prestigious National Gymnastics Championship held in Dehradun. Guided by the expertise of her gymnastics coach Mr. Gaurav, Vedika’s relentless hard work, discipline and passion for the sport has not only earned her a podium finish but also a coveted spot in the India camp for the upcoming Asian Championship.
International Diamond Award

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, proudly announces Arpita Panigrahi’s stellar achievements in prestigious Olympiads. The Class 12 student has been conferred the International Diamond Award in the Asiarope Science Olympiad and International Silver Awards in the Asiarope Maths Olympiad and SASMO. She also earned an International Bronze Award in the VANDA Science Olympiad, showcasing her interdisciplinary brilliance. Arpita’s achievements reflect her commitment to excellence and curiosity, and her ability to bridge logic with creativity.
HSCSIT Science Quiz

The brilliant students of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula secured the second position in the Inter-school District Level Science Quiz Competition 2025 held at GSSS, Sector 19, Panchkula on August 22, 2025. The team members—Mansi Tiwari (Class 12), Sarthak Pandey (Class 11), and Aditya Dixit (Class 11)—brought laurels to the institution with their commendable performance in the quiz competition that saw participation of students from various CBSE and ICSE affiliated schools. Adding to the glory, the team also won the first position in the written screening test, thereby proudly qualifying for the zonal level competition.
Panchkula Kendra

A two-day workshop on ‘Critical and Creative Thinking’ was hosted by the Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula School under the aegis of CBSE on June 3-4, 2025. A heterogeneous group of 60 teachers ranging from Foundation, Primary, Middle and Secondary attended the workshop. The aim of this workshop was to encourage innovation, analytical ability and creative thinking among students and teachers.
On this occasion, Shri S. P. Singh, Faculty, Department of Life Science, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Professor Neevi A. Kumar, Professor, Department of English, D.A.V. College, Chandigarh were present as the Resource Persons for the workshop. Various activities and interactive sessions were organised to develop creative and critical thinking, alternative solutions to problems, logical analysis and decision making abilities.
International Day of Yoga

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with great fervour and dedication on June 21, 2025. The celebration began with a mass yoga session, where students from various classes performed asanas and breathing exercises under the guidance of trained instructors.
In preparation for the event, students from Nursery to class XII and over 200 members of staff, including teaching and non-teaching staff participated in yoga sessions throughout May, fostering a healthy work-life balance.
The event also featured a Yoga Quiz Competition, organised by the Ministry of Ayush, which tested students’ knowledge of yoga’s origins, techniques, and benefits.
Panchkula Kendra
Navisha Bhardwaj of Class 10, won a gold medal in Fencing (foil team) during the Khelo India Youth Games 2025. The prestigious event was held in Bihar from May 11–15, where Navisha represented Haryana State and showcased exceptional skill, focus, and determination on the national stage.
Old Age Home Visit

The NSS volunteers of Class 11 from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, visited the Old Age Home in Sector 15, Panchkula, on May 20. The visit proved to be a heart-warming and enriching experience for the students as they spent time interacting with the elderly residents, listening to their life journeys and sharing their own thoughts and experiences.
The interactions were filled with warmth, laughter and meaningful conversations, leaving a lasting impression on both the students and the senior citizens.
Sankalp - A Commitment to Change

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, hosted the 8th edition of the Model United Nations conference and the 3rd edition of the All India Bhavan’s MUN Conference, from May 29–May 31. The conference aimed to ignite a spark of global citizenship among the youth, empowering them to become responsible global leaders.
The inaugural ceremony featured a solemn lamp lighting ritual, setting the tone for a meaningful discourse. Esteemed Chief Guest Ms. Pawan Sudhir, Professor, and Head of Department in Arts and Aesthetics (NCERT) New Delhi accompanied by Principal Mrs. Gulshan Kaur and distinguished guests Mrs. Amar Kulwant Singh, wife of the Founder Chairman Sh. Kulwant Singh (Former Chief Secretary) and Mrs. Manju Gupta, Retd. IAS, added gravity to the occasion.
Over three days, approximately 375 delegates from across India engaged in thought-provoking debates and discussions on pressing international issues and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference provided a platform for young leaders to showcase their passion and commitment to create a positive change. The closing ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Mrs. Amar Kulwant Singh, the wife of the Founder Chairman Sh. Kulwant Singh (Former Chief Secretary Haryana). Sh. Kulbhushan Goyal, Honorary Secretary also graced the occasion. During the prize distribution the organising committee was felicitated.
Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp Celebration

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised the Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp from May 29 to May 31, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises the promotion of multilingualism and the preservation of India’s rich linguistic heritage.
The camp served as a vibrant platform for students to explore and celebrate the cultural and linguistic richness of four Indian languages—Punjabi, Haryanvi, Himachali and Bengali. Each day was thoughtfully planned with engaging activities centered around these languages, allowing students to immerse themselves in their literature, music, art, dance, cuisine and cultural expressions.
Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities, which brought alive the spirit and essence of each language and region. The initiative not only fostered a deeper appreciation for India’s linguistic diversity but also instilled a sense of pride and belonging among the students.
Panchkula Kendra

The students of the Interact Club of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, visited an old age home in Sector 15, Panchkula, carrying essential daily-need items and eatables to share with the residents. The initiative was aimed at spreading smiles among the elderly and fostering a sense of social responsibility among the young volunteers.
During the visit, the students engaged warmly with the senior citizens—listening to their stories, sharing laughter and creating cherished moments of connection. The interaction not only uplifted the spirits of the elderly residents but also left a lasting impact on the students, deepening their understanding of compassion and community service.
Fire Safety Awareness Session

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised a comprehensive Fire Safety Session for its staff members with the objective of equipping them with crucial knowledge and practical skills to handle fire-related emergencies. The session was conducted by Mr. Virender Singh, Sub Fire Officer and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Fire Operator, from the Fire Department, Sector 5, Panchkula.A live demonstration on he correct operation of fire extinguishers was also conducted, providing staff with valuable hands-on experience.
Abhaar Divas

The NSS Unit of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, observed Abhaar Divas on May 1, 2025 with deep gratitude and respect to acknowledge and recognise the invaluable contributions of the school’s support staff including helpers, cleaners and ayas.
The NSS volunteers expressed their respect and appreciation by pinning badges to the support staff followed by engaging in heartfelt conversations, where they delved deep into the daily routine and the challenges that the workers face. This thoughtful interaction helped in instilling a deeper understanding of the dignity of labour and the importance of recognising every role, regardless of its nature, with equal respect.
World Laughter Day Celebration

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula joyfully celebrated World Laughter Day with a vibrant and uplifting session aimed at spreading cheer and promoting emotional well-being among its young learners. The celebration began with an energetic laughter ‘Yoga Session’ led by the respective class teachers. Students actively participated in playful breathing exercises, rhythmic clapping and hearty laughter routines leaving them feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and happy.
The session was followed by a delightful round of joke-sharing and tongue twisters where students shared jokes and funny incidents. Laughter echoed through the classrooms, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. These engaging activities not only brought smiles to everyone’s face but also helped in building students’ confidence and strengthening peer connections.

The campus of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula was filled with emotion, laughter, and memories as the school bid a warm and heartfelt farewell to the outgoing batch of Class 12, under the moving title ‘Waves and Wishes.’ The farewell, held on April 15, 2025, was a celebration of the journey, achievements, and bonds that have been forged over the years.
Organised with great enthusiasm by the students of Class 11, the event was a beautiful blend of nostalgia and celebration. The evening began with a traditional welcome, followed by a series of cultural performances that brought smiles when they reminisced about their school days. Students of outgoing XII shared touching speeches, reliving cherished moments and expressed love for their school and good wishes for their juniors.
Students of Class 12 gracefully presented themselves in the ‘Ramp Walk Round’ followed by the battle of wits in the ‘Question Answer Round’ which was followed by the felicitation of the winners. The highlight of the event was the crowning of Mr. Bhavanite and Ms. Bhavanite.
Foundation Day and Earth Day

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula marked its Foundation Day with a tribute to Shri K. M. Munshiji, the visionary founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan who played a pivotal role in initiating the Van Mahotsav—a legacy the school proudly continues to uphold.
In alignment with his ideology, the NSS Unit of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organised a Plant Donation Drive on April 22, 2025, coinciding with Earth Day. This symbolic and impactful initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation and sustainability. The event underscored a collective commitment to nurturing a greener planet.
The drive inspired students, parents, teachers and community members to actively participate by donating and adopting plants.
Dialogue and Global Citizenship

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula in collaboration with Generation Global which is an International Baccalaureate Organisation’s global citizenship education programme for young people aged 13 to 17, organised an interactive session on ‘Skills of Dialogue On Global Topics’ in the auditorium of the school on April 19, 2025. This organisation works towards enabling the students to embrace the future equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become active, open-minded global citizens. The event was aimed at equipping students for the Sustainable Development Goals Dialogue series of Generation Global organisation. Nearly 90 students of Grade VIII and IX who had shown aptitude towards creating an ecosystem of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam actively participated in the same.
Ms. Aishwarya Chauhan, the chief Co-ordinator (School Partnerships), Generation Global, was the speaker for the session where she apprised young Bhavanites about the way forward on exploring intercultural connections across the globe. The event aimed at promoting cross- cultural understanding, empathy and effective communication among students from diverse backgrounds. This was an extension of the virtual meet held on April 15th wherein the teachers of more than 10 countries interacted with each other.
World Book Day

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, celebrated World Book Day with great zeal and enthusiasm, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing a love for reading among students. The day began with teachers engaging students in their respective classes by discussing the significance of World Book Day and the timeless value of books in shaping young minds.
Students of Classes 6 to 8 showcased their creativity by participating in a bookmark-making activity, beautifully capturing their thoughts and emotions inspired by books. This was followed by a school-wide reading session, where students immersed themselves in the joy of reading. In a special initiative, NSS volunteers delved into books related to Bhavan’s heritage and philosophy. This not only fostered their love for reading but also deepened their understanding of the Bhavan’s value system.
Shraddhanjali

Panchkula lost a fatherly figure who cherished every little achievement of theirs, inspired them to scale greater heights, and provided solace and support. He taught to never give up, to stand against all odds, and to set higher benchmarks. His unflappable spirit, courageous convictions, and exceptional love and respect for teachers enabled the school to reach unprecedented heights, earning its place among the top CBSE schools nationwide. We mourn the loss of our beloved Chairman, Justice G C Garg (Retd.), who embodied knowledge, wisdom, humility, generosity, and love. He left us on July 8, 2025.

Two students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula brought pride to the institution by achieving outstanding success, demonstrating exceptional knowledge, skills and dedication to their respective subjects earning them a coveted spot in the OCSC (Orientation cum Selection Camp) and IMOTC (International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp). Nishkarsh Verma of Class 9 appeared for the National Standard Examination of Physics and has qualified for the next level and for the International Olympiad Orientation Cum Selection Camp to be held at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.
Yajat Shinghal, also of Class 9, cleared the exam for Maths and is selected for the International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp.
Sports Fest Extravaganza
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula hosted an exciting academic carnival for learners of Grade 1 and 2, transforming the campus into a vibrant arena of joy and enthusiasm. Themed around sports, the event on March 21-22, 2025 aimed to encourage young students to embrace physical activity while integrating curricular joys. The carnival featured a variety of engaging games of both academics and sports, ensuring an enriching experience for every child. From skill-based challenges to interactive educational games, songs, dance and rhymes, the event seamlessly blended sports with learning. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students participated, cheered for their friends and family and enjoyed the spirit of friendly competition.
‘Bhavanotsav 2025’ successfully cultivated a strong sense of community and reinforced Bhavan Vidyalaya’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.
World Health Day

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, marked World Health Day with an engaging and informative session organised by NSS volunteers in collaboration with the school’s Doctors Team. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of maintaining good health, especially in the light of the rising temperatures.
The volunteers along with the medical staff addressed the students on the significance of staying hydrated during the hot weather and emphasised the role of a nutritious diet in ensuring overall well-being. They shared practical tips and encouraged students to adopt healthy habits that promote physical and mental wellness.
Panchkula Kendra

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula took pride in organising an international project, Bhartiya Sutrakriti, based on Textile Cartography on February 21, 2025. The project aimed to promote love for India's rich culture and art education. It was coordinated by the APECV Research Group on Arts, Community, and Education, with participation from 29 groups representing universities, schools, collectives, and NGOs across five continents-Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
The project commenced in December when Dr. Pawan Sudhir, former Head of the Department of Art and Aesthetics at NCERT, conducted a workshop titled Srijan aur Sarokar for students and teachers. In this session, she introduced students to the art of crochet, knitting, and sewing-not just as a means of showcasing creativity but also as a method for stress relief. The school witnessed 100% participation from students, as well as enthusiastic involvement from both teaching and non-teaching staff, who immersed themselves in the creative process.
The culmination of this creative endeavour took place on February 21, 2025, when five professors-Maria Isabel Moreno, Estrella Soto Moreno from Spain, Samia Ahmed Mostafa from Egypt, Celia Ferreira from Portugal, Dr. Trish Osler from Canada, along with Dr. Pawan Sudhir, visited the school to admire and acknowledge the project's success. They emphasised art as a means of stress relief and a way to foster socio-emotional bonds.
Brain Bee Competition
The Department of Neurology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) successfully hosted the 16th Regional Brain Bee Quiz on February 1, 2025, in collaboration with the Indian Brain Bee, International Brain Bee, and the Society for Neuroscience (SFN).
This prestigious competition, designed for Class 11 students, is a live question-and-answer contest that tests participants' knowledge of neuroscience. Two students from Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, Mansi Tiwari and Vrinda Salaria, both in the XI Medical Stream, qualified for the regional level of the competition. Mansi Tiwari emerged as the first runner-up and represented the region at the national level held in Chandigarh in May 2025.

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula has once again emerged as an excellent centre of learning, as its students have exhibited stellar performance in the Class X board examinations. The school has written yet another chapter of triumph and success. Key Highlights of the Results:
* Srishti Sharma topped scoring 500/500 marks.
* Among the 216 students 13 students have achieved a score of 99% and above whereas, 112 students have surpassed the remarkable milestone of 95% marks and 165 students have crossed the 90% mark in aggregate scores.
* A remarkable 100% pass rate is a testament to the dedication and commitment of both the students and faculty.
Class XII Board Results
The students of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula performed exceptionally well in class 12 board exams. Out of 117 students who had appeared in the class XII Board Exams, a whooping number of 57 have scored above 90% in aggregate.

Akshita Jain topped the Non-Medical stream with 99.2% marks.
Ishika Panghal of Medical stream topped by scoring 96% marks.

Panchkula Kendra

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised a two-day Sports Skills Fest, showcasing students’ talents from Classes 3 to 8. The event began on January 30, with Class 5 students presenting a mesmerising Ganesh Vandana. Students of Class 6 showcased their expertise in Tai Chi and Chang Quan. On January 31, a lively showcase of athletic prowess by the junior students won the hearts of all those who witnessed their energetic performances. Class 3 students demonstrated their flexibility and balance through yoga while the students of Class 4 displayed their agility and coordination through callisthenics. Class 7 students showcased their strength and endurance using dumbbells and Class VIII students presented a high-energy aerobics performance. The programme ended on a high note with a beautiful presentation on Unity in Diversity by the students of Classes 6 and 8.
