Title : Erase the egoThe book contains the teachings and sayings of Sri Ramana Maharshi in his own words. His gospel is a practical expression of self which is reality, intelligence and bliss. It cannot be delimited by determination and differentiations. His teachings are plain and powerful.
They throw open the floodgates of the soul and make the living waters of the highest consciousness gush forth.The book talks of life and soul and gives various examples from nature to stress upon some fact. The individual has been compared with the restless ocean which stores water which evaporates to form clouds and then give rain which after forming rivers flow again into the ocean. Similarly the individual emanating from his heart is restless and becomes eager to find his own source. The way is the trail of the "ego" into the heart. The book is full of similies between things found in nature and ones own self which makes it easy to understand what the Maharshi is trying to convey to his disciples and followers.
About The Author: Sri Ramana Maharshi :
Sri Ramana Maharshi lived from 1879 to 1950. He did phenomenal tapasya and became a Jivanmukta. He was then proclaimed a Maharshi. Countless disciples and devotees thronged his ashram and he provided comfort and advice to them. He was a sage, a recluse, a philosopher.
