It is a record of the lifelong friendship between Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Dinshaw Mehta. They were much more than just doctor and patient.The book has many letters written by and to Mahatma Gandhi whose personal physician was Dr Dinshah Mehta. Mahatma Gandhi met Dr Mehta in the 1930s and was very much impressed by the nature cure therapy propagated by him. Gandhiji and his family members stayed at the Nature cure clinic and Pune and even sent some patients there. This book records Gandhiji's fasts, Kasturba's death and several historical happenings in India during the pre independence times. Interesting and relevant and exclusive photos are included in the book.

Dr Mehta was a pioneer of nature cure in India. He started his Nature Cure Clinic and Sanatorium in Poona. Dr Mehta was the Chairman of the Nature Cure Trust started by Mahatma Gandhi.
