Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya (BSRV), Sainikpuri

Genesis...

Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya, now a pioneer institution in the twin cities was founded by Brig. M. K. Rao (Retd.).
With grants from the Andhra Pradesh Government, the Army, Navy and the Air force, a few generous donors and twenty five acres of land, also allotted by the Government, the school commenced on 15th June 1974, on a very humble note.
The first thirty students of the school were accommodated under three terms borrowed from the Army. It functioned under the Ramakrishna Seva Samithi till 1989 when it was merged with the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan with the blessing of late Swami Ranganathananda, the President of Ramakrishna Mutt, the advice of Bharat Ratna Sri C. Subramanyam and the help of Sri Nani Palkhiwala, eminent Jurist.

Kids Korner

This was done after careful consideration as the Mutt had expressed its inability to take over the school due to non availability of monks. Since then the school has grown unabated and today it has a hundred sections in all its classes put together from LKG to class XII.
Beginning with its first batch which passed out of class ten in 1982 a record of 100% results in the Board exams has been maintained. In keeping with its growth and progress, the school has a dedicated staff and a plethora of facilities to match.
The school is situated in the serene, fifty acre large, pollution free environment of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Sainikpuri. It provides a perfect blend of long cherished Indian values with modern thinking. It aims at equipping the children to face the challenges of the modern world while keeping the age old values of our culture alive.
