Bhavan's Dharma Seva Pratishtan, Mumbai

The Bhavan's Dharma Seva Pratishthan was inaugurated on April 10, 1984. It was established with a munificent contribution of Rs. 25 Lakhs, received through Shri M.P. Birla.
The Pratishthan aims at reviving India's ancient cultural values, her arts and heritage of Vedic knowledge. Its objects are:
(a) To teach Sanskrit to all persons without distinction of caste or creed and in a manner that would enable them to acquire adequate knowledge of the subject and its allied lore, in a minimum period of time;
(b) To educate the public on preventive and corrective medicine, particularly in Ayurveda, Siddha Vaidya, Unani and other systems of indigenous and modern medicines;
(c) To educate the masses on the need for attaining higher levels of ethical behaviour and perception of higher values of life by organising community meetings, discourses and prayers;
(d) To repair and renovate places of worship and to teach the various aspects relating to the conduct of worship;
(e) To conduct Veda Pathasalas and Agama centres for imparting knowledge in ancient books of wisdom, and
(f) To undertake incidental and allied activities in furtherance of these objects.
