Ramayana stands as a symbol of attempted perfection in every aspect of life. To do experiments with patience and care, to interpret results without bias, to persevere in spite of failures and to claim credit for what you have done and no more than that requires character. And there are the examples in Ramayana of Rama Bharata and Vibhishana who exhibited strength of character and righteousness, each in a different way.
The beautiful golden deer which tempted Sita and led to her abduction has a parallel in the temptation before our young scientists and engineers for careers abroad.
That we can and must overcome the present difficulties and make this country economically developed and militarily strong is also a lesson we can learn from Ramayana.
