Free India is far away. When our people understand the ideas and ideals of democratic citizenship then free India will be a reality. For that to happen more and more people must study Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi.
In a truly free India our people will develop a democratic attitude and be imbued with a desire to serve the nation along with service to oneself. There will be perfect equality between groups and groups. For such a consummation our people will get plenty of inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita, the best book on Practical Vedanta, which teaches the innate divinity of every human being. Our people will learn then that love for Good must be accompanied by love and service of people. That will create the heaven of freedom about which Tagore spoke: “into that heaven of freedom let my country awake.”
