Let the light of our beloved country
Be like a shining lamp throughout the world
Where there is no strife, hatred, prejudice or intolerance
Where Gods or Goddesses are personal concerns
To be worshipped, loved in many ways
To stand, to kneel, to bow, prostrate,
A personal union with the Self.
Let everyone walk without the fear
Of being killed, molested, harmed
By deeds, or words, or race or colour
Where women are not maimed or tortured
Nor raped, nor seen as weaker sex
Where children get enough to eat,
No caste, no creed, no high, no low
People of the universe, free to live.
A path of peace for all, the lamp of love in hand
Lead us world citizens into that land.
