The Dawn of freedom was electifying to the longing masses and as citizens of free India, the Freedom Fighters believed it would usher in an era of freedom of thought, action and good governance. However, this was not to be when our first Prime Minister shocked the Nation from the top of the World U.S.A by announcing a Socialistic pattern of Government based on the Communist model. Freedom attained at a great sacrifice was frittered away under the garb of socialism.
However, one hoped that with our own new Leaders good administration at Central and States would follow and our lot would be better, but this was not to happen. 
From being subjects of the British Raj we became subjected to the all powerful, indifferent bureaucracy ushering in an era of the Licence, Permit Raj, an era started with corruption.
Morality has eroded to such an extent that “Adharmic” way of life is unethical in business and politics alike. Still I am confident that the silent majority, deep rooted Indian culture, will rise up to the occasion and show the world that we are a true democracy and the best.
