Free India in my vision will emerge as a world—teacher and world—leader in science, technology, politics and a universal spiritual culture respecting the essential divinity in all humanity. Here Hindus will celebrate other religions, as the Ramakrishnites are doing, inspiring the non-Hindus, too, to celebrate other religions in their places of worship and end fundamentalism. India will elevate her underdeveloped masses, to social and spiritual eminence, in a new society with common civil laws, and without caste-distinction. Indian women with academic, social, economic, and spiritual Independence will lead the women elsewhere. All work, administration, even politics, in future India will be oriented to serve, and awaken the Divinity in man, Education for all, will create great Indians who will combine Western dynamism with Vedic values, nationalistic dedication with international concern, thus fulfilling Swami Vivekananda’s dream of India creating the Harmony of nations, religions, and cultures.
