My vision of Free India is the individual. The individual who is developed to his fullest potential - physically, mentally and above all spiritually. The individual who abounds, excels, overflows. But, at the same time, maintains equanimity. The individual who is not swayed by narrow dogmas. He acts only as per the dictates of his conscience. The individual who answers more questions than he raises. He is a doer rather than a dreamer; a creator, not a destroyer. His road to success is himself.
Should he, then, be saint or a hero? No, not in the least. It’s enough if he’s human. He’s just as large as his own self. He is tolerant but expresses anger when it’s genuine for he is a full-blooded human being and not a coward to hold back in cowardice. He rebels if there is a cause, fights when there is reason to do so.
Now that the talk is of Vision of Free India I have this to say: take care of the individual and the Nation will take care of itself.
The man of whom we are talking is the son of the soil. The soil that is called India. This man when expanded is India and when compressed is Indian.
