What inspired us during our epic struggle for freedom was the vision of a free India emerging as a dream with the embryo of an exemplary nation in its womb, as a melodious song thrilling the whole world, as an enchanting poem inspiring a global spiritual awareness. Even after half a century, such a dream remains unrealised, such a song remains unsung, such a poem remains uncomposed. Poverty, corruption, cruelty, injustice, illiteracy, intolerance and selfishness are throttling national aspirations. The panacea lies in a cultural and spiritual renaissance for national transformation and international motivation.
Our national conscience, which has been stilled by contrary forces, has to be revived. Dedicated to ‘Sathya’ and ‘dharma’, free India, far from being ‘scamland’, should be a land where no intoxication, other than creative intoxication aimed at the fulfilment of our sacred vision, can thrive.
