IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR THE JYOTIRVID EXAMINATIONS

Examinations are held at the end of the calendar year and those students who pass Senior class examinations are awarded Jyotish Visharad by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and students getting distinction marks at the Junior class examinations are awarded Certificate of Merit.

- A student who secures at least 35% marks in each paper and secures an overall of 40% in total (Le. presently, 200 out of a total of 500 marks in the aggregate for bot h the JUNIOR and SENIOR class is considered as PASS.
- A student who obtains marks from 40% upto 50% in the aggregate, is considered to have passed in the PASS class.
- A student securing 50% and above marks in the aggregate, is considered to have passed in the SECOND class.
- A student securing 60% and above marks in the aggregate, is considered to have passed in the FIRST class.
- A student securing 75% marks in the aggregate, is considered to have passed with DISTINCTION.
- From amongst those students who secure Distinction, the one who secures the highest aggregate marks from both the existing medium of instruction, will be awarded a Special Cash Prize
