The High Commissioner of India, Shri Nalin
Surie, was the chief guest at the Bhavan’s annual fund-raising
Diwali Banquet on November 18, and it was attended by many
distinguished guests from all walks of life, including members
of both the Houses of Parliament.
Welcoming them, the Bhavan’s Chairman, Shri Maneck Dalal, OBE,
lauded the close co-operation between the Indian High
Commission and the Bhavan. He acknowledged the close links of
Fulham, Cllr Alex Karmel, with the Borough.
Bhavan International also presented to the Bhavan’s former
Honorary Treasurer, Shri Kishor Devani and the citation was
given to him by former Executive Director of Bhavan’s U.K.
Centre. |
