Shri K. M. Munshi's Bust Unveiling Ceremony
Governor Shri Ram Naik honoured by R. N. Tripathi, Director, Bhavan's Bharwari Kendra
The UP Governor, Shri Ram Naik, called upon the Nation to remember the contribution of Dr. K. M. Munshi. He requested the people to come forward and built a new India of his dream and vision. The Governor unveiled the statue of Dr. K. M. Munshi on September 5, 2015 in the campus of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at Bharwari, District Kaushambi which is a unique educational centre of Uttar Pradesh. He was welcomed by Shri Ashok Pradhan, Director, BVB, Delhi Kendra and Dr. Ruby Chaudhary, Principal, Bhavan's Mehta Mahavidyalaya. After unveiling and garlanding ceremony he lighted the lamp before Goddess Saraswati and garlanded her.
While addressing the gathering the Governor said that it is proud moment for him as he is privileged to unveil the statue of such a great visionary Freedom fighter and scholarly personality Dr. K.M. Munshiji on the day Krishna Janmashtami and Teachers' Day as well as birthday of great scholar and former President Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He said that Dr. Munshi was the second Governor of Uttar Pradesh. He expressed his views that modern and Western education should beautifully be blended with the Indian culture and values. He also highlighted the role played by Dr. Munshi in the field of education and compared his work with Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya.
In his address, the Kendra Director, Dr. Ram Naresh Tripathi, spoke about the role played by Dr. K. M. Munshi in establishing Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and other prominent freedom fighters in 1938. The Bhavan has completed 77 years of service to the Nation by its valuable multifarious activities in the field of culture, education, Indian civilisation, religion. Indian classical arts as well as integration and communal harmony. A stream of 400 institutions all over the country and abroad have been established by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to spread its ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and "Aa no bhadrah kratavo yantu vishwatah". Shri Ashok Pradhan presented a brief report about the aim and activities of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Principal Dr. Ruby Chaudhary proposed the vote of thanks.
