Sravana Sangeetha Lahari Report - 2018
The month of Sravan has its own significance in the Indian calendar. This month brings along with it, a festive mood and enhances spirituality. It bestows the seeds of health, wealth and contentment. On the other hand Sangeetham pleases the heart and soul and reaches the depths where emotions and intellect coalesce into intuition.
The Sangeetham in the month of 'Sravana' unfolded as Sravana Sangeetha Lahiri is a cultural festival of Music and Dance. This year the students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan presented the programme on the theme 'Sapta Swara - Tala Visistatha' highlighting the significance of Swara and Tala in Music and Dance.
The programme was formally inaugurated with the Bhavan's prayer and lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest of the day Sri N. Mukteswara Rao, I.A.S (Rtd), Director, SVETA, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati, Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer and other dignitaries. Smt S.
