Child Rights

Bhavan’s S. V. Vidyalaya, Tirupati, participated in the global vote campaign conducted by World Children’s Prize for Rights of the Child, (WCPRC), Sweden. The global vote organised by the WCPRC is the world’s largest annual educational and empowerment programme for young children on the rights of the child and democracy, and 33,000 schools with 15 million students in 86 countries are presently supporting the WCPRC.

Bhavan’s Shri Venkateswara Vidyalaya is honoured to be a part of this prestigious global venture. The children were educated about their rights by the teachers of the social science department with the help of global magazine which contains various inspiring stories about the heroic deeds of children who have fought for their rights and for the rights of others. Students prepared charts displaying information on topics like child rights, child labour and girl children. Around 400 children participated in the global vote organised in the school on March 26, amidst a mini exhibition displaying the charts.
