Course on the Subhashitas |
The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan announces the commencement of its new short-term
(three months) course (in English medium) on the Subhashitas (the wise
sayings)-the treasure of the Sanskrit gems (verses) revealing the secrets of
the life and practical wisdom. The Subhashitas (lit,
well-spoken words), a unique feature of the vast Sanskrit literature, are
the independent (single) Sanskrit stanzas which reveal the essence of the
time-tested truths realized by the visionary Sanskrit masters through their
vast experience and minute observation of the practical aspects of the life.
The teaching of these witty maxims covers the word-to word explanation,
relishing the aesthetic beauty of the divine language Sanskrit and the
exposition of the everlasting in-depth message for the all-round advancement
of our understanding of our heritage on life itself, in modern perspective.
The Bhavan is also conducting the regular classes for its short-term courses
on
- (i) Sanskrit Language (in English medium),
- (ii) Bhagavad-gita (in English medium) and
- (iii) Bhagavad-gita (in Hindi medium).
