(1) Bharatiya Vidya Visharada:
This course presents the glimpses of India’s heritage of Culture, Religion, Philosophy, Science, Technology and Medicine in suitable units.
(2) Sanskrit Bhasha Visharada:
A comprehensive course for adult learners wishing to use the Sanskrit language as support for their advanced comparative studies, for spiritual pursuits, for literary art and other studies and also for its own sake.
(3) Bhagavad Gita Visharada:
The course presents the Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita along with a comprehensive and critical study of its extensive literature, ancient and modern.
(4) Upanishad Visharada:
This course presents the history of Upanishadic thought; textual studies in Isha, Kena and Katha Upanishads; a brief introduction to the philosophies of Shankara, Ramanuja, Vallabha and Madhva, and modern views on Upanishads.

Brahmasutra-govindabhashya : 1st Adhyaya : Part I
(July – December 2018)

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan announces the commencement of its new course (in Hindi) entitled 'Brahmasutra-govindabhashya : 1st Adhyaya : Part I'. The Govinda-bhashya of Shri Baladeva Vidyabhushana on the Brahma-sutras or the Vedanta-sutras, presents the interpretation of the text, as per Mahaprabhu Chaitanya's Gaudiya Philosophy or the Achintya-bheda-abheda-darshana - the philosophy of inconceivable simultaneous oneness and difference between the living beings (Jivas) and the God (Ishvara). The first chapter, out of the four chapters of the Brahmasutras, with Govindabhashya, will be taught in two parts – each having the duration of six months. This course on 'Brahmasutra-govindabhashya : 1st Adhyaya : Part I' (July – Dec. 2018) will commence from Thursday, 5th July, 2018. The classes for this course will be conducted on every Thursday, from 12.30 p. m. to 3.30 p.m. at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chowpatty, Mumbai-7.

Sanskrit Vyakarana Pravesha
(as per Paninian grammar) – Part I

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's six-month course (in Hindi) on 'Sanskrit Vyakarana Pravesha (as per Paninian grammar) Part I' will commence from Saturday, 7-7-2018. In the said course, the Sutras (aphorisms) of the Paniniya Vyakarana, pertaining to the elementary level, will be taught with their word-by-word meaning, purpose, and application, with examples. Shrimad-Bhagavata
(With special reference to 'Shri-Bhagavatarka-mariachi-mala' of Shri Bhaktivinod Thakur)

The Bhavan’s new course (in Hindi) on ‘Philosophy of Shrimad-bhagavata (with special reference to Shri-bhagavatarka-marichi-mala of Shri Bhaktivinod Thakur)

The work ‘Shri-bhagavatarka-marichi-mala’ (total 20 chapters) contains the elaborate commentary by Shri Bhaktivinod Thakur (1838-1914), a prolific writer and veteran scholar of Gaudiya Philosophy, on select verses of Shrimad-bhagavata-purana. The said work sheds light on the epistemology, nature of Godhead and embodied souls, Gaudiya philosophical aspects, Bhakti, divine love, and aesthetic content of the sacred text.

The course is divided into three parts. Each part will be of
six months’ duration.

  

Courses on Higher Sanskrit Learning

The regular classes for Courses on Higher Sanskrit Learning are being conducted at Bhavan's Mumbadevi Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya,
The students who have passed S.S.C., H.S.C., and B.A. exams. with Sanskrit subject may apply respectively for Prak-Shastri (higher secondary level -2 years), Shastri (equivalent to B.A.– 3 years) and Acharya (equivalent to M.A.– 2 years) courses. The classes for these courses in Sahitya, Vyakarana and Vedanta, will be conducted during 11.30 a.m. - 4.15 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
The teaching of these courses will be absolutely free of charge. The eligible students shall be awarded scholarships.
