The Bhavan’s Department of Foundation and Cultural Courses was established in 1978 for awakening popular interest in Indian culture and philosophy.
The Dept. conducts two-year correspondence courses, in English medium, as under:-
- Bharatiya Vidya Visharada: (for studies on Indian heritage of Religion, Culture and Philosophy )
- Bhagavad Gita Visharada : (for the comprehensive and critical study of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita )
- Sanskrit Bhasha Visharada : (for detailed study of Sanskrit grammar and language, for advanced studies in Sanskrit literature)
- Upanishad Visharada : (for detailed study of major Upanishads – the ancient texts on Indian philosophy and spiritual pursuits)
- Subhashita-Sudha : (Short-term course on the practical wisdom enshrined in the Subhashitas – the wise sayings /moral maxims)
