The Shikshan Bharati, an Educational Unit of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was formed in the year 1993 for the purpose of coordinating, supervising and maintaining basic uniformity in the Board Management of Bhavan's Schools. The aim of the Shikshan Bharati is to make students self-reliant and to enable them to face the challenges of life successfully. One of the most important objectives of Shikshan Bharati is to impart value education to our students and also make them aware and feel proud of the glorious cultural heritage, values and traditions of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
The Shikshan Bharati has 87 schools under its aegis spread all over the country. For the sake of administrative convenience and better supervision, Bhavan's schools are divided into 6 zones. Each zone is under the charge of an Education officer.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is also managing eight schools at Gulf, so the total number of schools under the Bhavan's Banner is 95. Most of Bhavan's schools are up to +2 levels and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, though a few schools are also affiliated to different State Boards. There are also some schools which are at present up to middle / primary level.
