There was no good educational institute in Nadiad and Kheda district. Hence, Shri Jitendra Bholanath Trivedi who was the Patron-in-Chief initiated Bhavans Nadiad Kendra. By the donation of Shri Bhagubhai Patel a school was started in the year 1997, June, 17th. This school is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi having classes from Nursery to XII.

Advitiya Bharat

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, Nadiad, organised its Annual Project for the academic year 2025–26 on the theme ‘Advitiya Bharat—A Soulful Journey—a tribute to the unparalleled cultural, geographical, and historical richness of India’. The project was held on November 28–29, 2025.
Dr. Reshma Sable, the Principal of Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management, Charotar University of Science and Technology, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The exhibits and participation of students from Pre-primary to grade XI, who showcased India’s diversity through well-researched presentations, models, performances, famous personalities, cuisine, dance, costumes, tourism, geography, resources available, political and physical aspects, language and interactive displays, impressed all the spectators and community. Cultural programmes showcasing folk dances of various states were presented by the students to show the rich culture and heritage
of India.


ITO Excellence Awards 2025-26

Ms. Vandana Srivastava, Principal of Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, was conferred the prestigious ITO Excellence award of ‘Best Principal’ by the Indian Talent Olympiad at Navi Mumbai. This recognition highlights her exemplary leadership, inspirational guidance to students, and her outstanding contribution to the school’s remarkable academic achievements in one of the country’s most esteemed Olympiads, organised by IIT Guwahati and IIT Madras. The students of the school achieved outstanding results and reached the advanced level. This achievement is particularly commendable as 42,511 schools registered and millions of students appeared for the Olympiad.
On November 4, 2025 at Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruha, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, Ms Vandana Srivastava was honoured with a trophy and a framed award certificate, presented by Dr. Kiran Bedi, Former Lt. Governor of Puducherry and Ms. Saina Nehwal, Olympic Medalist & Badminton Champion adding immense pride to the occasion.

Interschool Hindi Debate Competition

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School organised Shastrarth-2025, Inter-school Hindi debate competition on October 4, 2025. The topic of this debate was Relevance of Bhagavad Gita in today’s time. Students from twelve different schools participated. The participants of BVB Nadiad emerged victorious but being the host school, the students were awarded Certificate of Appreciation and Shri Shri Ravishankar School bagged the first prize, Anandalaya, got second position whereas Vrajbhoomi School received Third Prize.  The Principal of the school also presented the book ‘Inspirational Mantra’ to the guest and guest teachers.


Basic Life Support Training Programme

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School in collaboration with Dr. Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation (SBCF) and Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) held a ‘Basic Life Support Training Programme’ for 75 participants including the teaching, non-teaching and support staff members. The event was held at Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad on August 24, 2025. The objective of this training programme was to make staff members aware of First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). These skills are required to save lives in the event of an emergency.

Book Day

To nurture love for reading, the Pre-Primary section of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nadiad Kendra joyfully celebrated ‘Book Day’ on July 5, 2025. Children brought their favourite books and enthusiastically shared a few lines about them. Later, the students visited the school library, where they explored a wide variety of books. The event successfully encouraged a love for stories, imagination, and reading.

Creatures Day

With the aim of developing observation, critical thinking, environmental awareness and communication skills among young learners, the Pre-Primary section of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nadiad celebrated ‘Amazing Creatures Day’ with great enthusiasm on June 27, 2025. Children were sensitised towards the need to respect and protect these wonderful beings by preserving their natural habitats. One of the exciting highlights of the day was a live viewing of a peacock, followed by a nature walk. The following activities were also conducted:

Mobile Awareness

With the aim of spreading awareness and encouraging healthy habits among toddlers, on July 11, 2025, the teachers of the Pre-Primary section of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nadiad presented a thoughtful and engaging skit on ‘Avoiding Mobile Usage’. The short act highlighted the importance of real play, face-to-face interactions, and reducing screen time. The skit was well-received by the children, who not only enjoyed the performance but also clearly understood the message.

Innovative Practices

As a part of the CBSE curriculum and also to promote skill education, an engaging and meaningful activity was organised for the students of Class 9 during the summer vacation. The primary objective of this activity was to enhance creative and critical thinking skills among students by encouraging them to make craft objects using clay, traditionally used in rural homes and in agriculture. The activity was conducted as a Subject Enrichment Activity, and 109 students from all sections were involved in the activity. The topic was ‘Introducing the Rural Environment through Earthenware’. Students actively participated and demonstrated remarkable creativity and craftsmanship. The process not only connected them to their roots but also fostered poetic expression, as many students expressed their thoughts and experiences through poetry.


ANVESHAN -2025

The students of Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, Nadiad Kendra enthusiastically participated in the All India Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Science Exhibition Competition: ANVESHAN 2025, held at Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Jaipur, from April 23-24, 2025. Two teams from the school showcased their innovative projects under the themes Environmental Issues and Alternative Energy. The first team of students namely Dwija Chauhan and Vihaan Patel presented ‘Sort Sterilize Save’, offering a sustainable solution to water pollution and waste management. The second team—Harshvardhan Aggarwal and Shourya Solanki presented ‘Play-way Power,’ an innovative idea to generate electricity using energy from playground equipment.
Among 54 exhibits and 140 students, the project Playway Power won second position under the theme of Alternative Energy, earning a certificate and a trophy.

Sports Achievements

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, Nadiad Kendra acknowledges the outstanding achievements of its students in various sports at state and national levels. Kamakshee Joshi of Class 9 brought laurels to the school by securing third position in Chess at the 68th National School Games held in Bhopal, earning 1513 rating points and 4.5 out of 6 points among 200 participants from across India. In cricket, Panth Patel from Class 12, displayed exceptional performance at the Vishal Patil Memorial Tournament in Dahod, Gujarat, where he was declared ‘Man of the Series’ and led the Kheda team to victory. The school also earned recognition in swimming during the All India Sea Swimming Competition at Porbandar. Manav Patel of Class III was awarded a certificate with top ranks in the category of 6 to 10 Open Male with the Timing of 00.38.43. Kirat Patel from Class 7 was awarded a certificate for completing the race in less timing of 00.22.28 in 10 to 14 Open categories.
