Inaugurated by Bharat Ratna Late Sh. C. Subramanium in the year 1994, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula is a constituent institution of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The Vidyalaya endeavours to keep alive the Bhavan's faith as set forth by late Dr. K.M Munshi, of reintegrating Indian culture and holding fast to the fundamental values for which it stands. Bhavan Vidyalaya is a Senior Secondary Public School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The school is a co-educational institution with classes from L.KG - Grade XII, the medium of instruction being English. The institution strives to provide, in keeping with the aims of comprehensive quality education to develop all facets of a child's personality.

Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, the students of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula’s NSS Unit and Student Rotary Club came together today to engage in Shram Daan (voluntary labour) lasting one hour from 10 am to 11 am in the Sector 15, Panchkula market area.
The students joined hands to clean and beautify their school campus and its surrounding market area. The activities included spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental conservation.
Shri Jai Kaushik, Councillor, Ward 5, Panchkula, also motivated the students with his presence and addressed the students as Swachhata Ambassadors.
The event concluded with a pledge to continue working towards a cleaner and greener future.


Tribute to Grandparents

On September 4, 2023, the campus of Bhavan Vidyalaya reverberated with laughter, love and nostalgia as it celebrated Grandparents’ Day in distinctive style. On this occasion students presented a vibrant special assembly for their grandparents. 
After their arrival, esteemed grandparents were warmly welcomed with a traditional tilak ceremony, and presented with heartfelt thank-you cards. The children showcased yoga, song and dance performances. 
They also presented a ramp walk on the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which fostered a sense of unity and strengthened the unique bond between generations. Teachers and grandparents actively participated in one-minute games together.


Cultural Exchange Programme

The cultural exchange programme between Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, and Bhavan Vidya Mandir, Eroor, was a tremendous success, fostering cultural understanding, friendship and rich learning experiences for the students involved. From August 27, 2023, to September 2, 2023, a group of 20 students and four teachers from BVM Eroor visited the Bhavan Panchkula School, engaging in a variety of activities that showcased our rich cultural diversity.
The BVM, Eroor, team had the opportunity to explore cultural landmarks like the Gurudwara Nada Sahib, Mansa Devi Temple, Yavnika Park, Cactus Garden, Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, etc., helping them gain insight into the local heritage and history.
The highlights of the programme were the special assemblies organised by both the schools. The students from BVM Eroor showcased their talents by performing traditional dances from the north and the south of the country. To encourage cultural exchange and learning, workshops were arranged, where students from both schools could learn from each other. The students from South India had the opportunity to learn Bhangra and Haryanvi dance steps and traditional art forms like sculpture-making and ‘phulkari’ embroidery. Language exchange activities were organised, allowing the students to learn basic phrases and greetings in each other’s languages.
Exploring cultural diversity also included a culinary journey. Students from BVM Eroor got a taste of the local cuisine. The highlights were the celebrations of Onam and Raksha Bandhan, which dissolved all the boundaries and promoted the bond of unity and brotherhood.


Appreciation from the Chief Minister

It was a moment of joy and pride for Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula when the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar appreciated the achievements of a Panchkula Bhavanite, Atharva Saxena. It was during the ‘Raahgiri Programme’, organised by the district administration of Panchkula with the support of the Panchkula Sports Department and the Police Department. The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Approximately 4,000 budding athletes and students participated in a diverse array of sports, cultural festivities and educational initiatives, all meticulously designed to present these activities to the general populace for their edification. Esteemed athletes hailing from the Panchkula district were duly feted by the district administration.
Atharva Saxena, a proficient Wushu practitioner, received recognition and accolades from the Chief Minister as he had recently achieved a coveted position within the top 8 ranks at the 11th Junior Asian Wushu Championship held in Macau, China. The Chief Minister extended congratulations and articulated a sentiment that the provision of avenues for youthful athletes to engage at the international stratum at such a tender age is laudable, thereby expressing his admiration for such sports institutions.


Zonal level of Science Quiz

The District Level Science Quiz was organised at the Govt Sanskriti School, Sector 20, Panchkula, on August 22, 2023, by the DEO in collaboration with the DST (Department of Science and Technology, Haryana) for the CBSE and ICSE-affiliated schools of the district. Out of various participating schools, eight teams were shortlisted for the final round of the quiz. The team of Panchkula Bhavanites, Ishita (Class 12), Divine (Class 11) and Aadi Bhardwaj (Class 12) made their way to the final round of the quiz by solving a questionnaire of hundred questions. Showcasing their scientific acumen, the students secured the second position in the final quiz and also qualified for the zonal level of the quiz.
