Inaugurated by Bharat Ratna Late Sh. C. Subramanium in the year 1994, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula is a constituent institution of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The Vidyalaya endeavours to keep alive the Bhavan's faith as set forth by late Dr. K.M Munshi, of reintegrating Indian culture and holding fast to the fundamental values for which it stands. Bhavan Vidyalaya is a Senior Secondary Public School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The school is a co-educational institution with classes from L.KG - Grade XII, the medium of instruction being English. The institution strives to provide, in keeping with the aims of comprehensive quality education to develop all facets of a child's personality.

Interfaith Harmony Symposium

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula celebrated the 555th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev by hosting an Interfaith Harmony Symposium, promoting unity and dialogue among diverse faiths. The symposium featured insightful panel discussions, covering themes such as ‘The Dichotomies of Our Times and the Need for Interfaith Dialogue’, ‘Guru Nanak’s Philosophy of Peace, Harmony, and the Pursuit of Joy,’ ‘All Faiths as Paths of Love and Compassion,’ and ‘Interfaith Harmony in the Armed Forces.’ Colonel Cheema’s book, 101 Divine Thoughts of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was launched, enriching the occasion with Guru Nanak Devji's profound teachings. It was released by several eminent dignitaries including Justice Kamaljit Singh Garewal (Retd.), Justice Shabihul Hasnain (Retd.), Mr. Balram Gupta, Mr. A.S.Rai, Mr. Ashok Kumar.

7-Day NSS Camp Inauguration

The much-awaited 7-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp was organised from November 19–25, 2024 at Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula with immense enthusiasm and a spirit of service. The camp organised meaningful activities, fostering personal growth and a deeper understanding of social responsibility among the students.
The camp left a lasting impression on all the participants, reinforcing the spirit of service, unity and humility.


CBSE National Gymnastics Championship

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, delivered an outstanding performance at the CBSE National Gymnastics Championship held at Shirdi, Maharashtra. In the Under-11 boys’ category, the team comprising Anmay, Vedant Sharma, Dev Arjun and Kartik Tiwari clinched a third-place finish, adding another feather to the school’s cap.  Vedant Sharma achieved an impressive 9th rank out of 170 participants in his
category. Meanwhile, in the Under-14 girls’ category, Lakshita and Vedika Sharma dazzled with their skills, securing an 8th position among 205 competitors.

Diwali Celebration

The spirit of Diwali was celebrated with warmth and generosity at Bhavan Vidyalaya, as the NSS volunteers, comprising students from Std. 11 and 12, shared the festive joy with the underprivileged children of the evening Chetna School. The celebration included a traditional Diwali puja conducted with the students and the distribution of gifts and sweets to brighten their day.

State Roller Hockey Championship

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, delivered an outstanding performance at the 38th Haryana State Roller Hockey Championship, held from October 22-24, 2024, in Gurugram. With 24 students participating, the school secured a remarkable tally of medals, reaffirming its excellence in sports and teamwork. The students showcased extraordinary skills and determination, winning 21 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. This incredible achievement is a testament to the collective effort and spirit displayed by the following participants: Rudransh, Vidhan Joshi, Divyansh, Prajval, Kiaan, Avni, Aarna Tanwer, Manveer Kaur, Sanjana, Gopesh, Advit Kathuria, Daksh Gupta, Yug Gupta, Mayank Gupta, Dhruv Sharma, Harshita, Mivaan Garg, Bhuvnesh, Bhavneet, Harmanjot Singh, Harsh Sharma and Saksham Bhagat.
This exceptional performance not only underscores the school’s commitment to sports excellence but also highlights the importance of discipline, hard work and teamwork among its students.

LAAM EXPORAMA 2024

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, proudly hosted the much-anticipated LAAM EXPORAMA 2024 from November 7 to November 9, 2024. This commemorative event is held in the fond memory of its revered founder-Vice Chairman, Shri Lala Amarnath Aggarwal, celebrating his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to education. Honouring Lalaji’s far-sighted dream, LAAM EXPORAMA offers an array of activities and competitions designed to unlock the potential and creative genius of young scholars. Over 150 students from 23 schools across the tri-city and North India participated, fostering a spirit of healthy competition.
The highlight of the event this year was the school’s initiative of bringing about a change in the society, through the Change Maker Confluence held on Day 1, featuring influential speakers like Mr. Anil Srinivasan, entrepreneur and founder of Rhapsody and Kruu; Saffin Mathew, Programs Director at 1M1B and youth champion for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Mr. Ankit Kapoor, founder of Go Sharpener; and Naman Sonpar, Programs Director at 1M1B. They inspired students to embrace their roles as change-makers. Students also presented innovative solutions addressing pressing issues, such as public space revitalization, plastic reduction and reuse, mental health awareness, and sustainable food practices.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Honorary Secretary Shri Kulbhushan Goyalji and the family members of the late Shri Lala Amarnath Aggarwal, and respected members of the Management Committee.
Winners were honoured with trophies, certificates and planters. The RUNNING TROPHY was bagged by St. Vivekanand Millennium School, Pinjore.

The CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition 2024

The CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition 2024, held at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, on November 12-13, showcased an impressive array of 79 innovative projects from schools across the region. The projects covered a wide range of themes, including Natural Farming, Food, Health & Hygiene, Disaster Management, Waste Management, Resource Management and Mathematical Modelling. The exhibition aimed at sparking interest in science and technology. It was inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Bist, Deputy Secretary, CBSE Regional Office Panchkula. In his address, Shri Bist commended the students for their creativity and enthusiasm.
A panel of six distinguished judges—Dr. Sudhir Kumar Yadav, Dr. Harleen Bakshi, Dr. Tej Kaur, Dr. Rashmi Sangi, Dr. Manish Dev and Dr. D.P.S. Sehgal—meticulously evaluated the exhibits across seven sub-themes. The judges selected the 14 most outstanding models to represent the region at the National Level Science Exhibition.


Grandparents' Day 2024

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula hosted an enchanting Grandparents’ Day for the Primary Section (Nursery to Grade 2). The festivities kicked off with a warm and colourful Tilak ceremony, setting the stage for a day filled with joy. Our little Bhavanites took the spotlight, showering their grandparents with heartfelt
songs and captivating dance performances that lit up the room. One of the most delightful moments was when the grandparents joined in the fun. The energy in the air was electrifying, showcasing the beautiful bond between generations.

Interaction with Army Veteran

Under the Project Veer Gatha initiated by The Ministry of Defence in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organised an interactive session with Army Veteran and NSG Commander Brigadier Subhash  Chander Rangi (Retired) Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal. 
Brig S C Rangi (Retd.) initiated the session by highlighting the increase in terror attacks and the prompt actions taken by the Indian armed forces. He captured the interest of the Bhavanites through some heart-wrenching anecdotes. He also made the young generation understand the meaning of ‘Heroes’. He highlighted the need for grabbing opportunities as they come and to act wisely. The interactive session raised the curiosity of the students to know more about the tales of valour from Brigadier S C Rangi which was followed by a Question-Answer session.

‘Shobhla Himachal’

With a view to inspiring in young Bhavanites an appreciation for the rich cultural legacy of neighbouring states,  Bhavan Vidyalaya organised a grand cultural event, ‘Shobhla Himachal’ on October 19, 2024 in the school. 
The event showcased the rich cultural heritage, festivals, sports, cuisine and economic growth of Himachal through mesmerising dances and songs woven into a well-crafted narrative. The exhibition of Himachali paintings and artefacts along with the vibrant dances like ‘Luddi’, ‘Jhamakra’, ‘Gidda’, ‘Thoda Dance’ and ‘Pahari Nati’ were a treat for the eyes.


Training of Trainers (TOT) Programme

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula played host to a prestigious two-day Training of Trainers (TOT) programme under the aegis of CBSE and ISTM, held on September 27–28, 2024. The programme brought together some of the most esteemed educators and leaders, of both national and international repute. The resource persons included Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Deputy Director, ISTM; Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, Head, COE CBSE, Panchkula Region; Dr. Pratik Ghosh, HOD, IHMC Chandigarh; and Mrs. Seema Jerath, Principal, DLF School, Delhi. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with participants comprising Principals and Postgraduate Teachers (PGTs) from various prestigious CBSE schools across the region. The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Shekhar Chandra, Regional Officer, Panchkula, and Mrs. Seema Khakha, Head, COE, Panchkula. The participants were subsequently divided into two batches, and the training sessions commenced, marking the beginning of an enriching journey towards enhancing their skills as educators and trainers.


Kalaripayattu Demonstration

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, in association with SPIC MACAY, hosted a captivating session on Kalaripayattu, Kerala’s traditional martial art, showcasing its unique combat techniques, indigenous medicinal practices, and significance in religious worship. Shri Rajeev K. P. and his team of experts demonstrated mesmerising feats like chattom (jumping), ottam (running), and marichil (somersault), emphasising
mind-body coordination and agility. Approximately 400 students engaged in the productive session, followed by a conference attended by dignitaries from various fields.
