Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir was set on the soil of Tripura on 2nd October 1996 by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. It is the product of constant hard work, dedication and lots of good will of Late Regional
Director K.V. Gopal Krishnan and Late Administrator B.C Banerjee.
Some of the special features of this Institution includes individual cottage module for the tiny tots, extension of playground, library facilities, access of computer, well-equipped laboratory etc. it is co-educational, C.B.S.E School with 100% success at the Board Exam.
Besides, individuals attention to the Children, parental care, wise counseling are the principles of this institution. There is Swavalamban institution where women learned stitching and Gandhi institution for teaching computer. Thus it has become a popular institution in the city.
Apart from BTVM, there are 6 other Institutions serving under Kendra.
Bhavan's Kala Kendra which is actively running in the city to promote
different co-curricular activities.
The institution having several mllestones yet to achieve. At present it is one of
the shining stars in the field of education. The institution works with the
mission at making students independent, well behaved and good citizen of our

NEWS & EVENTS
Students of Class 4 observed World Elephant Day with meaningful activities focused on elephant awareness and wildlife conservation. Through learning, creativity and participation, the young learners came together to understand why protecting elephants and their habitats matters.
Rangoli Making
Celebrating Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Bhavanites made various Rangoli designs using saffron, white, and green powders and flower petals visually honouring the national flag of India. The Rangoli also expresses their respect for freedom fighters.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, BTVM Rotary Club organised a flag distribution drive ahead of Independence Day. The initiative aimed to encourage public participation, promote awareness about the Flag Code, and inspire citizens to embrace the National Flag as a personal symbol of patriotism. A special Har Ghar Tiranga selfie point was also set up on the school premises to encourage students and visitors to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
Awareness Rally
BTVM organised an Awareness Rally with Students, NSS Volunteers, Eco Club Members and NCC Cadets in Narsingarh Village Area and distributed flags ahead of Independence Day in connection with Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to transform the national flag from a formal symbol into a personal emblem of patriotism, inspire community-wide public participation, educate citizens on the Flag Code, and honour freedom fighters.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Aiming to cultivate a sense of generosity, compassion and social responsibility, students of Class 10 participated in the school’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity and distributed Bed Covers to the children of State Foundling Home, Narsingarh, Neeljyoti Ashram, Ushabazar, Durgabari Tea Estate, Bamutia, on August 13, 2026.
Youth Parliament
Voices of Tomorrow at Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir History was made on campus as Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir successfully hosted its first-ever Bhavan’s Youth Parliament (BYP)! The school hall transformed into a vibrant parliamentary floor, echoing with passion, intellect, and fiery debates. Stepping into the shoes
of parliamentarians, cabinet ministers, and opposition leaders, the young Bhavanites simulated real parliamentary proceedings with remarkable poise and maturity.
Independence Day
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir marked the momentous occasion of Independence Day 2026 with deep reverence and enthusiasm.
As we look ahead, BTVM reaffirms its commitment to nurturing responsible, visionary citizens dedicated to nation-building.
SEWA Programme
As part of the SEWA programme, the students of Class 5 actively participated in a meaningful community service initiative at Narayanpur Chowmohani. They distributed glucose and juice packets to the people in the area especially those who needed refreshment and care while promoting the values of kindness and social responsibility. The students also took part in cleaning the bazaar area and encouraged the public to maintain cleanliness and keep their surroundings neat and hygienic.
As a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the students of Class 2, BTVM visited the State Foundling Home, Narsingarh, on 5 August 2026 and distributed food items to the children. The visit aimed to instil the values of kindness, compassion, and social responsibility among the young learners. Interacting with the children and sharing with them made the experience both meaningful and memorable, inspiring the students to care for and support those in need while fostering empathy and a spirit of giving.
Birth Anniversary
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir, Narsingarh Kendra, celebrated the birth anniversary of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, the Father of Indian Chemistry with a floral tribute, inspiring addresses, and an exciting Chemistry Exhibition by Classes 11 and 12. A celebration of science, curiosity, innovation, and young minds!
SOF Second Level Examination (2025–26)
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir proudly felicitated the achievers of the SOF Second Level Examination (2025–26) by awarding Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Zonal rank recognising their dedication and academic excellence. Adding to the school’s proud moments, the Principal was honoured with the Best District Principal Award, receiving a memento and a cash award of Rs. 5,100 and a teacher was recognised as the Best District Coordinator, receiving a memento and a cash award of Rs. 1,000.
Importance of First Aid
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir, like every year conducted a session on the importance of first aid in school and safety precautions during disasters by the Principal, Smt Swapna Shome and other teachers with students of Class 10. Students also learnt how to prepare first aid boxes for primary medical care.
Hiroshima & Nagasaki Day
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir observed Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day with meaningful presentations, a talk show and a calendar-making event remembering the tragic events of 1945 and highlighting the importance of peace, humanity, and the responsible use of science for the welfare of all.
World Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration
Students of Class 3 celebrated World Indigenous Peoples’ Day on August 8, 2026 with great enthusiasm. The programme featured a colourful fashion parade representing diverse cultures and traditions, followed by a quiz and a unity pledge. It concluded with the inspiring song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’, conveying the message of unity in diversity.
Sewa Activity
As part of Sewa activity, the students of Class 9 visited two Anganwadi centres—Hatipara Anganwadi and BSF Para Anganwadi. During the visit, they distributed school bags, toys, and food items among the children. The activity aimed to spread joy and encourage the spirit of caring and sharing.
SOF (2025–26)
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir proudly felicitated the achievers of the SOF (2025–26) by presenting them with Certificates of Merit. Other achievers:
* Chandrankshi Saha - Class 5, Best Performer Award in Drawing organised by Sabujpata.
* Adrik Saha—Class 4, 1st position in Mastermind, Maths Maestro contest organised by Abacus.
* Anirban Paul—Class 3, achieved a position among the Best 3 in Sit and Draw organised by Life & 1st in Mastermind Maths Maestro contest organised by Abacus. Also 1st position in 50m Backstroke and freestyle swimming in District Swimming Meet 2026 by West Tripura District Level Swimming Association.
* Soumil Bhowmik—Class 4, achieved Performer Award in SIP Regional Prodigy 2026 organised by SIP Abacus.
* Kritika Sarkar—Class 4, a place among Top 5 positions in Drawing organised by Nishaan Reva, School of Art & Music. Also 2nd position in drawing competition in Sishu Lok organised by Tripura Folk Academy.
Dipanjana Ghatak - Class 3, achieved a position amongst the top 3 in Sit and Draw competition organised by SBI Life.
To mark World Nature Conservation Day, the Rotary Club of Agartala City visited Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir for an inspiring day dedicated to Mother Earth! From engaging interactions with young minds on eco-friendly habits to planting saplings across the campus, it was all about taking action for our planet. Huge shoutout to the amazing students for pledging to nurture these young trees!
Olympiad Exam
Bhavan’s Olympiad Foundation very successfully completed 12th Olympiad Exam with 10000 students participating, 50 schools, 5 centers in Narsingarh, Udaipur, Khowai, Ranirbazar, and Anandanagar. Classes from 4 to 8 subjects Science, Maths, English and classes 9 to 12 Cultural Olympiad.
Students and Principal of Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir were felicitated by a renowned organisation of Tripura Jagat Pratibhalay. Students for their creative writing skill and Principal for her commendable contribution in the field of education.
CSR Activity
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the students of Class 5 of Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir participated in a Community Plantation Drive on July 21, 2026. The students visited Narsingarh and Narayanpur to distribute saplings among local residents and spread awareness about the importance of planting and protecting trees.
Scinergy 4.0
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir, Ritesh Guha Roy & Abhipray Roy from Slab III (11 & 12) secured the 3rd Position in the Science Exhibition ‘Scinergy 4.0’ organised by Techno College of Engineering.
National Flag Drawing Activity
On the occasion of National Flag Day, the students of Class I and II enthusiastically participated in a National Flag Drawing Activity. They drew the Indian National Flag with great interest and learned about its importance. The activity filled the students with a sense of patriotism and pride.
Sow the Seed Activity
The Sow the Seed Activity is a meaningful initiative that encourages students to connect with nature and understand the importance of protecting our environment. By sowing seeds, children learn valuable lessons in patience, responsibility, and care while witnessing the miracle of growth.
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir student Aarohini Saha (Class 7) represented India in the International Figure Skating Championship held in China. She got
1st position with Gold Medal in Junior Category with a score of 189.81.
Essay Writing & Extempore Competition
Renowned Nazrul Academy announced the result of Essay writing & Extempore competition
in which Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir students performed excellently. Essay writing top 2: Pritha Bhattacharjee, Hrithika Bhattacharjee.

Nazrul Sanmanana
The Principal, Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir was honoured with the Nazrul Sanmanana by the Nazrul Research Centre for her contribution in the field of education.
Talent Search Achievement
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is India’s largest online talent search examination, conducted jointly by National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Vijnana Bharathi (VIBHA). This year 2,68,000 students from the whole country registered for this examination. After 3 rounds of exams, more than 500 students qualified for the national camp organised at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat on May 16-17, 2026. Sri Sudipta Debnath student of Class 8 from Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir, Agartala bagged the first prize at East Zone Level. He has been awarded with cash prize, memento and certificate. At the next level, Sudipta will participate in a 7 day internship programme in any national level science laboratory.
Quiz Competition
On the Observance of Children Mental Health Day, two events were organised by Holy cross college. In the quiz competition, Samriddhi Holme Choudhury received the 3rd position and was rewarded with a Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation. In the Poster making competition, Ritesh Guha Roy of XII Science secured the First Position and was rewarded with a Trophy and a Certificate of Appreciation.
Felicitation
Shri Pankaj Majumdaar —secretary yoga association of Tripura and Puja Saha - National gold medalist (7 times) Bharat Sera 2020 were felicitated.
Merit cum Means Award 2026
Bhupendra Chandra Datta Bhowmik Trust organised Merit Cum Means Award 2026, which is a very prestigious award in which BTVM student Sagar Datta received the award with a cash prize of Rs. 25000/-.
Felicitation of Board and School Toppers
At the BTVM Felicitation of Board and School Toppers 2025-26, Shri Kishor Burman, Minister of Higher Education and Prof Dr YP Singh, Vice Chancellor of NLU Tripura graced the occasion with their kind presence and blessed the students.
India Pride Award 2026
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of India, organised the India Pride Award 2026 to recognise young writers from across the country. Representing Tripura, Debojit Shil and Swastika Dey were selected among participants from all over India. Debojit secured 2nd place in the Top 10, while Swastika achieved 6th place in the Top 10, and both were honoured with certificates and trophies. Their guide teacher, Saumyadeep Sir, was also presented with a certificate of appreciation for his valuable guidance and support.
