Nadiad Kendra
A Historic Achievement in Hindu Scripture Recitation was achieved by Class 7 students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, Nadiad. An International Children’s Forum of BAPS (Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) created a Guinness World Records achievement in Vadodara, Gujarat, for the Largest Simultaneous Hindu Text Recital.
A remarkable 15,666 students worldwide, including 12,723 official participants in India, took part in the recital of Satsang Diksha. The participants collectively recited 315 memorised shlokas, demonstrating exceptional dedication, discipline, and commitment to learning. Three students of Class 7 from the school participated in this historic event and contributed to this remarkable world record: Prapti Nileshkumar Desai, Rahi Hiren Kumar Patel, and Vrusa Ghanshyam Patel. Their sincere efforts and dedication have brought immense pride to the school community.
Drop Everything and Read
Bhavan’s Smt. Maniben Kashibhai Patel School, Nadiad Kendra organised Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) Week in the month of June with the aim to nurture a strong reading culture among students and encourage them to experience the joy of reading. During the week, students were encouraged to pause their regular activities and devote dedicated time to reading activity. They explored a variety of age-appropriate books, including stories, novels, biographies, poetry, and informative literature.
Inter School MUN
SNV International School, Nadiad, recently conducted its highly anticipated SNV-MUN Inter-School Model United Nations Conference in which many schools of Nadiad and Anand participated. It was organised in collaboration with IPMUN (International Peace Model United Nations) and the YUKAS on August 1 to 2, 2026. The conference featured diverse international and national committees, giving delegates a multi-faceted arena
to address contemporary socio-political, economic and legislative issues. Dev Patel of Class 12 Science, Parshvi Jain of Class 11 Science, Vansh Mehta of Class 9, Shrushti Pandya of Class 8 and Divyanshi Gautam of Class 10 participated from Bhavan’s Smt. M. K Patel School. Each one of them presented their views and shared their ideas on the respective topics allotted to them. All the participants received prestigious titles and certificates for their excellent Political and Geopolitical knowledge. Dev Patel received trophy and certificate as a best delegate, Parshvi Jain and Vansh Mehta received the title of Special Mention, Shrushti Pandya bagged the title of Highest Commendation and Divyanshi Gautam was announced as a voice of the day.
Youth Parliament
BVB Youth Parliament 2026–2027 was conducted on August 7–8, 2026 at Bhavan’s Smt. Maniben Kashibhai Patel School, Nadiad Kendra, in collaboration with YUKAS. The theme of the Youth Parliament was ‘Reforms in the Indian Education System.’ The event provided students with an enriching platform to understand parliamentary procedures, democratic values, and the functioning of the Indian legislature. A total of 73 students from Classes 6 to 12 participated in the event, taking on various parliamentary roles. The Youth Parliament fostered critical thinking, public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and an understanding of democratic processes among the participants. Students were recognised for their commendable performance through awards such as Best Delegate, High Commendation, Special Mention, and other accolades.
World Book Day
Bhavan’s Smt. Maniben Kashibhai Patel School, Nadiad Kendra celebrated World Book Day on April 23, 2026, with great enthusiasm to foster a love for reading and highlight the importance of books in enriching knowledge and imagination.
A variety of engaging activities were organised for students across different classes. Students participated in book-reading sessions, storytelling, book reviews, character presentations, creative writing activities, and discussions on their favourite books and authors. These activities provided students with opportunities to explore different genres, express their thoughts, and develop their reading habits. The celebration also emphasised the role of books in developing vocabulary, creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills. Teachers encouraged students to read beyond their textbooks and discover the joy of learning through literature. The programme concluded with a renewed appreciation for books and reading among the students. The celebration was a meaningful initiative that encouraged students to make reading a regular and enriching part of their lives.

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School’s House Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 was held on June 27, 2026 with great enthusiasm and dignity. The Chief Guest, PSI N. N. Rathod, Nadiad graced the event in the esteemed presence of Honorable Chairman Shri Hasmukhbhai Patel, Vice-Chairman Shri Arvindbhai Patel, Director Mr. K. I. Jacob, Principal Ms. Vandana Srivastava, staff, parents, and students. The principal administered the oath of the office Bearers. The Chief Guest officially declared the Inter-House Competitions for the academic year 2026–27 open, followed by a melodious House Song by the school choir.
The School Principal Ms. Vandana Srivastava was conferred upon the prestigious Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan National Principal Award, recognised by the Govt. of India organised by Education Excellence Conclave. The Principal was also felicitated with the Best Principal Award from the ITO Olympiad and the school received the ‘Golden School’ award at National level by ITO. Dr. Sangeeta Mishra, the Faculty In-charge, Science received the Excellence award as coordinator and Ms. Sonia Limbu, Science Teacher received ‘Best Teacher’ award by ITO Olympiad. Reyansh Patel, Class 6, received the State Topper (Math) and ITO scholarship Award of worth Rs. 1000/-. + Jay Gajjar, Class 2 received the Excellence Award (Science).
Cyber Safety Awareness Programme
Bhavan’s Smt. M.K. Patel School, Nadiad organised a Cyber Safety Awareness Programme on June 13, 2026 to educate students about safe and responsible internet usage. The session was conducted by Cyber Crime Department of Police, Kheda District. The speaker highlighted the importance of protecting personal information, creating strong passwords, identifying online scams, and practising responsible digital behaviour through videos and informative PPT. The students actively participated in the interactive session and gained valuable insights into staying safe in the digital world.

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K Patel School celebrated Gujarat Sthapna Divas on May 1, 2026 with great enthusiasm. The students from Classes I to IX actively participated in the programme which began with information about Gujarat Sthapna Divas and the contributions of great leaders like Indulal Yagnik, Ravishankar Maharaj, and Bhaikaka.
The students presented a melodious song, vibrant Garba performance, a humorous skit, and an engaging action song, making it a memorable celebration of Gujarat’s pride and heritage.

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, Nadiad student Archi Zala of Class XII Science has been selected under INSPIRE MANAK award scheme 2025-26 organised by Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology & DST. She has been selected amongst 1244 students from Gujarat.
A prize money of Rs.10,OOO has been sanctioned in her favour to participate at DLEPC.
All India Bhavans MUN-2026
The students of BVB Nadiad Kendra participated in the All India Bhavans Model United Nations (MUN) - 2026, held on April 17-18, 2026 at Bhavan’s Vallabhram Mehta Public School, Vadodara. The programme witnessed the participation of 18 Kendras of Bhavans from across the country, making it a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange and collaborative learning. It is a matter of pride that two students of Bhavan’s Smt. M. K Patel School, Dev Patel (XII Science) and Veera Sherwani (XI Science) secured the distinction of High Commendation in the UNHRC and UNSC committees respectively. Their achievement stands as a testament to their dedication, critical thinking, and effective participation throughout the sessions.

The Pre-Primary Section of Bhavan’s Smt. M.K. Patel school, Nadiad, celebrated Convocation Ceremony on March 14, 2026, with great joy and enthusiasm. The main objective of this ceremony was to celebrate the first academic milestone of the little ones and to provide them with a confident stepping stone as they move forward from Pre-Primary to Primary school. Dressed in adorable graduation robes and caps, the little graduates received their scrolls with pride, making the moment truly memorable for parents and teachers. Shri Jaspreet Singh, chief manager, Indian Bank graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Kirat Patel of Class 8 participated in the Sea Swimming Competition ‘SWIMATHON’ held on January 3, 2026 at Porbandar, Gujarat. He earned a certificate and secured 24th rank at the All India level.
Hetarthsinh Chauhan of Class 5 participated in the Sea Swimming Competition ‘SWIMATHON’ held on January 3, 2026 at Porbandar, Gujarat. He earned a certificate and secured a meritorious rank at the All India level.
National Shooting Championship
Ms. Vaishnavi Sahu of Class 12 and Ms. Aarushi Shah of Class 9 both successfully qualified in the 68th National Shooting Championship Competition in 10 m Air Rifle category held in Bhopal. Both are now National Qualified and renowned shooters, bringing pride and honour to the school.
National Karate Championship
Madhav Barot of Class 8 secured Gold Medal in 8th Wado National Karate Championship bringing honour and glory to the school.

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School held Model United Nations as an activity wherein more than 200 students from Classes VI to XI participated. There were two houses:- Loksabha and United Nations General Assembly. Two sessions were conducted in each house. The students were given different constituencies in Loksabha and they represented 48 countries as delegates.
This activity encouraged children to participate in such events which positively enhanced diplomatic abilities and developed 21st Century Skills for the holistic growth of the students. The activity helped the students gain information about the constitutional rights, duties and obligations. The students witnessed the actual process of passing a Bill, making reforms and amendments.

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, Nadiad, organised its Annual Project for the academic year 2025–26 on the theme ‘Advitiya Bharat—A Soulful Journey—a tribute to the unparalleled cultural, geographical, and historical richness of India’. The project was held on November 28–29, 2025.
Dr. Reshma Sable, the Principal of Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management, Charotar University of Science and Technology, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The exhibits and participation of students from Pre-primary to grade XI, who showcased India’s diversity through well-researched presentations, models, performances, famous personalities, cuisine, dance, costumes, tourism, geography, resources available, political and physical aspects, language and interactive displays, impressed all the spectators and community. Cultural programmes showcasing folk dances of various states were presented by the students to show the rich culture and heritage
of India.

Ms. Vandana Srivastava, Principal of Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School, was conferred the prestigious ITO Excellence award of ‘Best Principal’ by the Indian Talent Olympiad at Navi Mumbai. This recognition highlights her exemplary leadership, inspirational guidance to students, and her outstanding contribution to the school’s remarkable academic achievements in one of the country’s most esteemed Olympiads, organised by IIT Guwahati and IIT Madras. The students of the school achieved outstanding results and reached the advanced level. This achievement is particularly commendable as 42,511 schools registered and millions of students appeared for the Olympiad.
On November 4, 2025 at Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruha, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, Ms Vandana Srivastava was honoured with a trophy and a framed award certificate, presented by Dr. Kiran Bedi, Former Lt. Governor of Puducherry and Ms. Saina Nehwal, Olympic Medalist & Badminton Champion adding immense pride to the occasion.
Interschool Hindi Debate Competition
Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School organised Shastrarth-2025, Inter-school Hindi debate competition on October 4, 2025. The topic of this debate was Relevance of Bhagavad Gita in today’s time. Students from twelve different schools participated. The participants of BVB Nadiad emerged victorious but being the host school, the students were awarded Certificate of Appreciation and Shri Shri Ravishankar School bagged the first prize, Anandalaya, got second position whereas Vrajbhoomi School received Third Prize. The Principal of the school also presented the book ‘Inspirational Mantra’ to the guest and guest teachers.

Bhavan’s Smt. M. K. Patel School in collaboration with Dr. Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation (SBCF) and Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) held a ‘Basic Life Support Training Programme’ for 75 participants including the teaching, non-teaching and support staff members. The event was held at Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad on August 24, 2025. The objective of this training programme was to make staff members aware of First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). These skills are required to save lives in the event of an emergency.
