The book is a mystic novel written in the Pondicherry Ashram of Sri Aurobindo by Sri Dilip Kumar Roy. It is based on some happenings in the Ashram - aspiration, conflicts, difficulties, Sadhakas and Sadhikas face while following the spiritual life. The theme is moving and expressed in an analytical way - a new 'venture' in the field of 'Novel', not just to entertain, i.e, not literature for Art's sake but literature for Divine sake. While retaining the fundamental features of a novel, namely, maintaining the story line, charming style of writing, characterization etc. the author makes it thought-provoking, leading the reader to deeper realms of human nature and behaviour.
