Nala
Vanara son of Vishwakarma, the architect of the devas. He had inherited, from his father, the knowledge and technique of bridge-building. It was under his guidance that a bridge was built over the sea which enabled Rama and his forces to cross over to Lanka. Earlier, he had not revealed this ability of his for fear of being considered boastful. But he acknowledged it after the ocean (Mahodadhi) surrendered to Rama and said that it would allow Nala to build a bridge over it.
