Bhavan's Mumbadevi Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, established in 1939, was included in 'Adarsh Pathashala Scheme' of Ministry of Education, Government of India, in 1977, and was renamed as Mumbadevi Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya. It is a leading Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (Oriental College) in India, which is conducting courses for higher studies in Sanskrit Shastras (scriptures) - Vyakarana (grammar), Sahitya (Sanskrit poetics and creative literature) and Advaita-vedanta [philosophy of monism (non-dualism) propounded by Adi Shankaracharya].
Following courses are conducted at the Mahavidyalaya, and they are recognised by all State Govts., and Central Govt. :-
The Mahavidyalaya regularly organise talks, lectures, academic functions and Vagvardhini Sabha (debate in Sanskrit) for developing students' oratorical skills.

Process of Admission:
The students desirous of having admission to Prak-Shastri/Shastri/Acharya courses for the new academic year 2022-2023 are requested to send an email (with their full name, address, mobile no., and details of last examinations passed) to the Principal of Bhavan's Mumbadevi Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, for obtaining necessary details for admission.
