The 62nd Issue of the Bhavan's Annual Number was released on August 14, 2015 by Dr. V. Shanta, Chairperson, Cancer Research Institute, Adyar, Chennai. Releasing the first copy, Dr. Shanta commended on the Bhavan's great efforts to serve the society through publications, education and cultural activities. She specially appreciated the Chennai Kendra's cultural and social up-liftment activities. She recalled her close association with the Bhavan during Bharat Ratna Shri C. Subramanian's tenure and the Bhavan's then Executive Secretary, Shri S. Ramakrishnan. She even recalled her request to Shri Ramakrishnanji to take over the Institute during its difficult times.
Receiving the first copy of the Annual Number from the Chennai Kendra Director Shri K. N. Ramaswamy, she solicited assistance from the Kendra to inculcate value education among the nurses and volunteers who are attending to the cancer patients at the Institute. Shri Ramaswamy in consultation with the Kendra Chairperson Shri L. Sabaretnam is working out a programme which is to be implemented soon.
