A Shradhanjali to Kanchi seer, HH Jagadguru Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya, was held at Bhavan's Chennai Kendra on April 1st, 2018. It commenced with Veda Parayanam and floral tributes. Tamil Nadu Governor Shri Banwarilal Purohit who is also Vice President of the Bhavan was the Chief Guest. Shri N. Ravi, Chairman of the Bhavan's Chennai Kendra, noted columnist Shri S. Gurumurthy and Shri Aravind Sitaraman, Chairman & CEO of What is India Publishers Pvt. Ltd., spoke on the occasion. The Shradhanjali issue of Bhavan's Journal (March 31, 2018), dedicated to late Jayendra Saraswathi, was released by Governor Shri Banwarilal Purohit and the first copy was received by Shri Gurumurthy. Shri K.N. Ramaswamy, Director of Chennai Kendra proposed the vote of thanks.
