Summer Camp for Bhavan's Children Club
A Summer camp was held on May 11, 12 and 13 with two sessions on each day. The inaugural session was by Kiran Yadav teaching craft to the fifteen participants who learnt to make envelopes and book marks. The second session was on Public Speaking by Julia Ghosh of Poddar International school.
The second day began with a story session by Rajshree Saxena, committee member of the Children's Club presenting three beautiful stories from Panchatantra and others. The second session was a Tie and Dye one with Amita Kini, which was highly appreciated.
The third day saw Rekha Shirsat, teacher at Ramkrishnaa Academy, Panvel teaching to make easy rangolis. The concluding session of the Summer Camp was on non-fire cooking where Veena Adige taught biscuit cake and Sudha Kamath taught to make sprout train. Enthusiastic children suggested their own recipes too.
On May 7, a Games session was organised by Sudha Kamath. This was followed by a safety session on May 8 where Sneha Sriram, of Fugro International gave a talk on safety of children at home, on the road and during covid as well as electrical safety, among others.
