A 2 km rally on 'Fighting Drug Abuse', was organised by Bidhannagar City Police on June 26, 2015. Reputed schools of Kolkata had participated in the event.About 50 students from class XI of Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir had participated in the event. They had prepared placards and banners for the occasion. The rallyists proceeded from Yuva Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) and reached its destination at the National University of Juridical Sciences campus creating awareness .The rally was followed by a poster making competition and a debate on the topic "Is Globalization Responsible For Increase In Drug Abuse?".
Two speakers spoke from each school and Ankit Santra (Class XI) of BGKV was declared the Champion Of Champions and was the proud recipient of the trophy.
