Padmashri Ku. Shobana

The Kendra presented an excellent Bharatnatyam programme by Padmashri Ku. Shobana on September 6, 2015. Kum. Shobana (noted film-artist) is the niece of the legendary classical dancers - Travancore Sisters - Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini.
The performance was attended by more than 1000 people as audience which was the full capacity of the Thyagaraja Hall. They had a life-time experience of her abhinaya, clarity of line and strong rhythmic command.
Two of her dance items were masterpiece. Allaripu with Thal was with a perfect precision and the pastimes of Lord Krishna with His Mother Yashodha had taken the audience to Dvapara Yuga to see Lord Krishna and Yashodha live in action.
