As a part of promoting Indian Culture and Heritage, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra, organised a week-long programme on "Sri Ramayana Vaibhavam" from April 7 to 13 at Thyagaraja Mandapam, Tirupati. The speaker, Upanyasa Kalanidhi, Acharya Kasireddy Venkata Reddy, Secretary of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, T.T.D. was introduced by Dr. Alladi Mohan, Professor of Medicine, SVIMS. Acharya Reddy, editor of many magazines, author of 120 books, an orator par excellence and learned in the spiritual lore of India, with deep knowledge of the Upanishads and the Gita, stated that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan always upheld Indian Culture and values. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer, Bhavan Tirupati Kendra, expounded Ramayana as the spiritual foundation for the Indian way of life and a practical guide for human life in modern times. Shri P. V. Krishna Reddy, Shri R. V. Jagga Rao, Prof. N. Kamarajupantulu and other committee members graced the occasion.
