The Students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Panchkula, participated in the state level celebrations of Gita Jayanti Samaroh between December 19 to 21, 2015. Liza Khurana bagged the First Position for Gita Shloka Recitation and was awarded a cheque of 11,000 by the Governor of Haryana. Sanchi bagged the First Position in Calligraphy Competition based on the Gita. She was also awarded Rs. 11,000/- by the Governor. During the three day long celebrations an exhibition was put up by the students in order to spread the inspirational message of the Gita. On the second day 30 students participated in the Shobha Yatra carrying placards to convey the values of the Gita. The programme culminated with a cultural evening where school students performed a Haryanvi dance and were awarded a cash prize of rupees one thousand each and the teacher with a cash award of Rs. 11000/-.
