|
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's, Vadodara Kendra organised the International Fest on Feb. 13 to 16 in the sprawling lawns of the primary ground with the aim of fostering the feeling of 'Vasudaiva Kutumbakam' and to broaden the horizons of the students making them globally aware citizens. This exhibition was the culmination of the year long international activities taken up by students from classes Nursery to IX. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Principal.
The senior wing had added to the air of information that pervaded in the exhibition by their displays on Environment and Ecosystem sensitizing the people to global pollution and the need to preserve the bio-reserves. Lending a musical dimension to the international study was the kiosk on musical instruments which melodiously demonstrated the wind instruments of France, Finland and Germany with their models. The informative milieu was vivaciously interspersed with the dazzling dances of the students, depicting the traditional and folk art forms of the different countries. Various customs and traditions were beautifully juxtaposed by the senior students.
The highlight of the event was that students picked up the vocabulary of the other countries and used it to greet and welcome the visitors. The international fest was a collective endeavour by Bhavan's fraternity towards globalisation which promises faster growth, higher thinking level and new opportunities for the children of 21st century.
