Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kolkata Kendra felicitated Guru A. Srividya. She was presented with "Smt. Parvathy Gopalkrishnan and Shri K. V. Gopalkrishnan Endowment Felicitation" instituted by their sons to honour those who are doing valuable service to the community. Justice Sri Chittatosh Mookerjee did the honours and spoke highly of the Carnatic music tradition. Guru A. Srividya offered her reverence to her gurus and insisted that she was only trying to carry forward the Dikshitar tradition from what she has imbibed from her gurus at Sri Guruguha Gana Vidyalaya.
The evening culminated with a lively concert of Vivek Sadasivam, great grandson of the founder of Vidyalaya and a promising young vocalist who is now undergoing advanced training under Sangita Kalanidi (Music Academy, Chennai) nominate Sanjay Subramaniam after being groomed under Rudrapatnam Shri Thyagarajan and his own erudite musician parents. He was accompanied by violinist B. Vittal Rangan (disciple of maestro A. Kanyakumari) and Mridangam exponent S. Venkat Raman (disciple of Vidwan R. Srinivasan).
