Primary section students present a group song on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti
|
Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir celebrated the 156th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
The Primary Section programme began with a prayer song composed by Tagore. It was followed by the recitation of 'Pujar Saaj' by the students of class V.
The different seasons of Bengal were depicted through a few dances in the programme titled 'Ritu Ranga'.
Rabindra Jayanti celebration of the Secondary section began with an inter-house recitation competition for class VII. It was based on Tagore's poems. This was followed by a drama 'Juta Abishkar' performed by the students of class VI. The programme also included an inter-house dance competition, an inter-house quiz based on the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore and an interhouse Antakshari where students of classes IX to XII participated.
