Students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, performing in Mangalore.

The foundation of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula is firmly rooted in culture and tradition. Since the very beginning of the school, art and expression have formed an integral part of the curriculum.
The school has been associated with Spicmacay to enable students to be a part of a national convention, an annual event which brings youth from the entire country to a common place where they exchange ideas, share experiences and provide a way forward for Spicmacay to realise it’s objectives.
This year Apra, Ananya, Nishtha, Kartik and Himanshu along with two teachers Ms. Anjana Gera and Mr. Debashish of the school experienced the sheer magic of Indian classical music at NITK Surathkal, Mangalore from 28th May to 3rd June.
The students spent a week witnessing performances and attending workshops by maestros of Indian classical music and dance, leading folk artists, talks by eminent people from different fields, screening of classic films, craft workshops, yoga, a heritage walk and other events in an ashram-like atmosphere.
