Interaction Session-Resource person with teachers
A two-day In-service Training Programme for teachers was conducted on June 9-10, 2016 by the school management. The programme was inaugurated by Hon.Director & Treasurer Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju and day's Chief Guest Swami Anupamanandaji, Secretary, Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Tirupati. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju emphasised teachers to bring Social transformation and Wealth creation and stressed on the need to devote our energy to serve the Nation.
During the two-day In service Programme, various eminent resource persons took sessions on various relevant topics for teaching professionals. Sri Swami Anupamanandaji spoke on 'Swami Vivekananda and Education for Excellence'. He expounded on Vivekananda's belief that Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man. Dr. P. V. Ranganayakulu, S. V. Ayurvedic College and Chief Museum Officer, Tirumala, on 'Ayurveda and Well-being' which denotes knowledge of health or long life. Dr. V. Vanajakshamma, Cardiology Department, SVIMS, enlightened the teachers about proper lifestyle and benefits of Heartfulness meditation which is essential in our day-to-day life. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju highlighted Yoga and work Culture. He said that Yoga is efficiency in action (Yogaha Karmasu Koushalam) and one should devote oneself to this as it represents integrating intelligence, emotion and will power. Dr. K. Madhavi, Principal, College of Physiotheraphy, SVIMS, Tirupati explained about work-related disorders and Physiotherapy. The In-Service Training Programme was concluded on 'Behaviour of Present Generation-Challenges and Possibilities' by Dr. N. R. K. Anish, Junior Consultant in Psychiatry, Government Mental Health Centre, Tiruvananthapuram, Kerala. In his inspiring presentation, he created awareness among teachers about the seven alarming situations in children and suggested tips and measures to be taken to deal with such situations. The discussion was focussed on how to deal with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyper activity Disorder) in school and at home.
The programme was graced by Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer.
