Students with the beneficiaries of Aide et Action, Guwahati

The students of two-year Management Programme (PGDM 2015-17) and One
year Management Programme (PGPM 2016-17) at SPJIMR delivered their Development of Corporate Citizenship (DOCC) social project presentations. The PGDM students work for a period of 5 weeks and the PGPM students for a span of 2 weeks in the social sector. DOCC is a pedagogical initiative of SPJIMR towards sensitising management students working with the social sector through rural internship at various Non-profit organisations. A total of 374 individual projects were undertaken with 90 Non-profits across 20 states of India, Nepal and Bangladesh. This year the students worked in 12 sectors of social arena - Health, Education, Infra-structure, Income Generation, Women Empowerment, Disability, Management Issues at NGOs, Social Entrepreneur-ship, Area Development Planning, Environment, Training & Development, and Micro-finance & SHGs.
Dr. K. G. Karmakar, Faculty at SPJIMR said that the presentations were excellent and the prior work experience of the students had a positive impact.
