With excitement and enthusiasm abound, six students along with Ms. Manisha Singh Bhatt, boarded the flight from New Delhi to the Heathrow Airport, London to unravel the mystery of space by participating in the Mission Discovery programme. The team visited the 'London Eye' and thereafter headed for a cruise over river Thames.
At King's College, London, the team was briefed about the entire programme and each student was allotted a team comprising students from various schools. Renowned astronauts Micheal Foale and Dr. Jullie Keeble interacted with the teams about their association with NASA and their journey to the International Space Station.
Students were briefed about the presentations which they had to make, and later, the sixteen teams were divided into four groups. The team with the best idea would become the winners. It was a proud moment to behold Manan Katwala of Class XII and Samuel Dondulu of Class IX reach the finals. The five finalist teams delivered their presentations to the jury in the main auditorium. Manan Katwala along with his team secured the Runner's Up position on the topic 'The protein casein will be broken down faster by protease calpain'.
On the final day of the trip, students visited The Tower of London, where the Kohinoor diamond is placed and Madame Tussad's Museum.
