Students representing various countries at the Mock United Nations Sessions.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organised its first mock United Nations Sessions on May 29 and 30, 2012. The aim of this event was to help students recognise problems worldwide and come out with remedial resolutions.
The programme included screening of the a video film about various global issues.
Simulating the working of the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council were over 72 students posing as delegates representing 18 countries. The agenda for General Assembly was International Cooperation on Countering Terrorism while the agenda for the Human Rights Council was discussions over the violations of human rights while countering terrorism. The delegates of various countries proposed feasible resolutions to counter terrorism at the global level. The programme ended with the giving away of various awards.
The Principal, Mrs. Shashi Banerjee felicitated the team members, faculty and the organising committee of the function.
