Our Vidyashram celebrated the 50th Anniversary of International Literacy Day on September 8, 2016. The theme of International Literacy Day 2016 was 'Education for the 21st century, Literacy for all'.
To mark this occasion, our Vidyashram conducted a campaign in the form of 'Book Reading' in which 1700 students, 100 teaching staff and 200 other staff read books of their choice between 3.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m.
The programme started with Sarvadharma Prayer followed by a speech by Kum. Keshia, the Senior Head Girl.
The Director Dr. B. V. Seshagiri Rao expressed his views on the need of literacy for all and declared open the campaign.
Principal Smt. L. V. Rama Devi proposed the vote of thanks.
