Bhavan's 4th Inter School Cultural Contest 2016 was held on December 17, 2016 at Marathi Sahitya Mandal. Due to most schools having their own Annual day and Sports on Dec. 17, many schools could not participate. Still there were nine schools and eleven performances. More than 250 children participated. Children from schools of Koparkhairane, Nerul, Ghansoli, Juinagar, Panvel, Vashi and other places participated. Fourteen schools which had participated in the Bhavan's Inter School Drawing Contest also received prizes. They were from Bal Bharati, Anchorwala, Sacred Heart, Modern, St Mary's, New Vashi, St Lawrence, R F Naik, ASP, Juinagar, ICL, Ryan Christian School and RKA.
The design of the banner, sticker and certificates were prepared by Amrita Bharati a newspaper syndication that produces Bhavan's magazine Dimdima.
Shri Praveen Saxena, Director and CEO of Blast Carboblocks Pvt. Ltd., Vashi, was the Chief Guest. Bhavan's Music Principal Pandit Dhruba Ghosh, Swadesh Eknath Varankar, Mamata Shetty who runs a children's dance school and Sindoo Nair, owner of R. D. Academy of Dance and Performing Arts were the judges.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the judges, Kendra Hon. Secretary, Harish Iyer, Dr. Venugopalan (CEO, Amrita Bharati) and others and followed by a beautiful bhajan by Sheela Kamath.
Sudha Kamath compered the program.
