Rabindra Jayanti, the day which marks the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, the great scholar and novelist was celebrated by Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir, Kolkata from 11th May to 15th May 2017. The students of both primary and secondary wings organised various cultural programmes. The programme began with 'Kobi-Porichiti', 'An Introduction of the Great Poet'. The Principal gave a message to the students to inculcate great values in life, aim for excellence and draw inspiration from the poet's life. This was followed by other programmes such as Antakshari based on Rabindra Sangeet, and recitation of Tagore's poems. The students enacted famous plays of Tagore like The Dakghor. This was followed by an Inter-House Quiz and Dance Competition. The programme ended with children dancing to Tagore's songs.
