Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised 'Medha Manyata Divas' Annual Prize distribution function for student achievers of Class XII for the year 2016-17 on July 15, 2017. A total of 70 students were awarded for their achievements in their versatile fields. The ceremony was organised to acknowledge and appreciate the achievers and also to motivate other students to become future icons.
The grand event opened with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the founder Chairman of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula Kendra, esteemed members of the management along with Principal Mrs. Gulshan Kaur.
A wide array of appreciation in the form of cash awards, laptops, trophies of pride, pen-tabs and mementos were awarded to deserving students after recognizing their inherent talents.
Sarvesh Mehtani, the 'pride' of Bhavan Vidyalaya who bagged the All India Rank 01 in JEE Advanced, was awarded a laptop along with a memento. Ashish Waikar who bagged the All India Rank 07 in JEE Advanced was awarded a Kindle and a memento. Manthan Jindal was also awarded a Pen Tablet along with a memento for securing All India Rank 32 in JEE Advanced. Ankush, Srijan, Ritvik Kapila and Archit Nanda were also awarded for getting meritorious ranks in All India JEE Advanced. Kaashvi was awarded a laptop and a memento for being CBSE Medical All India Topper. Akashleena Chakrabarti was given a cash prize of Rs.2100/- for being the Humanities District topper. Muskaan Siwach was awarded a cash award of Rs. 1500/- for being the Commerce stream topper. Along with these prizes, mementos were awarded to all subject toppers with five students of Music getting a perfect 100 score in the exam.
The prize distribution was followed by a rendezvous session between the JEE achievers and the students of classes XI and XII. The session was enriching with junior students asking questions related to their fields of excellence.
The felicitation ceremony was made vibrant by cultural programmes like the welcome dance, songs, etc.
The school Principal, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, congratulated the winners for their achievement and said, "It's a matter of pride for the school that such jubilant students have set benchmarks and made their parents and school proud. I wish them all the best for their future endeavours."
