The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited organised an essay writing competition in Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
Several students of Class IX participated in the competition. The topic was: Life and Achievements of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
Olivia Biswas won the first prize of Rs. 1000, Archita Pachisia the second prize of Rs. 800. Pratyasha Kar and Archisman Das won the third and fourth prizes of Rs. 600 and Rs. 500 respectively. The winners also received merit certificates.
